I ended up sticking a nut on the end and putting as many washers as it needed to aim it right. I hope it's aimed enough for the MOT though! I put slots in the washers so there is some adjustment.
This is what I am on about. I thought the sensors were for adjusting for load in the car and you still have to set them to some sort of level. This metal shaft now turns freely and also won't hold the aim high enough without moving back in. I can push it in and out, it's not exactly flapping but...
I wouldn't say it's flopping about but there isn't much holding it where it is and it won't stay pointing high enough without holding the metal part. I'm not sure about if it has auto adjusters, it's a facelift with HIDs, I don't have any adjustment on the dash or anything if that helps
Hi guys, MOT failed on headlight aim too low, turns out the adjusters are broken. The plastic cog isn't attached to the metal shaft because of corrosion. I can now push the metal shaft in and out and the headlight moves about . Is this because it needs the cog to keep it in place or is it that...
I've done about 4 miles since filling up £30 and this morning the gauge is in the red and the computer reads 0 miles and a beep at startup for it. It is freezing this morning could this cause this? Not much about when I search this issue apart from pulling the dash fuse on golf's or bad sender...
I'm looking for some pistons and seals for the front calipers. I'm having trouble sourcing the pistons mainly. They are standard brakes which, if I am correct, are the same as the TT ones? So I should be able to use this kit...
I'm getting a chirping sound like a bird coming from the left of the car only at higher speeds (80mph+) This doesn't occur at any other time no matter how high I rev in lower gears. Also the turbo noise doesnt sound as smooth when acclerating hard recently, almost like chatter but only when...
Am I silly or my tie rods ends on upside-down? the nut is on the top and the joint is on the underside. the car is lowered but I've never seen this on mk4s or anything so wondered if this was correct as I'm replacing them
Most of the time now I have to turn the lights on and off a few times for the drivers side HID to work properly. Also, a few months ago I had a bulb shatter in the lens on its own. Does this mean a new ballast is in order or are there other things I can try?
According to where I bought it the 710P is the newest and "includes an improved design with internal guides that now hold the sealing lip in alignment with the seat." It clearly didn't work in this case!
Turns out it was the new DV that had killed itself. It was actually the newest 710P and I have now put the old N one back in and no more flutter (who knows how old that one is!)
On the way home I noticed I suddenly have some flutter when coming off the throttle. I changed the DV to the newest OEM one recently to try and remove the classic over revving issue between gears and also did the n249 delete. (It didn't solve it BTW) This was about 6 weeks ago and about 2 weeks...
