I have a 3.0 TDI Allroad and it has just been in for a service and I was told that it has been oiled for life!
Beware, before I spoke with the Master Tech at the garage the 'customer care manager' gave me a price for the oil and I nearly fell through the floor.
At circa £20k you are in the territory of of a good A6 Quattro
Once you have driven a Quattro in the wet/ice/snow you will understand why the Audi is the best choice, especially with a family on the way.
In addition the boot on the C6 A6 is enormous. However, with a family the Estate would be...
Sorry for not getting back to you earlier (I've been out of teh country).
Mine is a semi automatic and is running like a dream (after I had the air intake manifold replaced).
I have no idea as to what difference there is between the suspension on the previous model of teh Allroad. However, I...
All I will say is
Think about the snow!!!!!!!!!
All my colleagues with BM's left them on the drive for most of last winter.
It's not all about power, it's about usable power.
A friend of mine has an M5 and parks it up for the winter and drives his Range Rover.
Thank you,
I suppose it will have to wait (have started using Genius mixes off the Apple and copying them to CD), more important to put new rubber on the wheels after this awful winter.
Having bought the Allroad in December I thought it would be a simple fix to allow connection of an Ipod to the MMI system.
The car has a 6 disc changer in the glove compartment and when I visited my Audi dealer I almost fell off the chair at the cost, at least £500 for parts alone (excluding a...
The only issue that I have heard and read about on the forum is potential transmission problems.
I would not mind knowing myself to tweek the 3.0tdi allroad.
I have the 3ltr tdi with 18" alloys and it performs well. The only problem that I have had is that I'm running a well worn set of Michelin primacy tyres (down to about 4mm) which gave minimal grip in the snow.
For tyres I will probably go for goodyears as most of my colleagues have used them...
I ran into a similar problem a couple of years ago and traded my A6 Saloon (C6) in for a Touran 2.0tdi Sport this was after having looked at all the cars on your list.
After 6 months I wished I had never bothered, long journeys turned into torture (uncomfortable ride, Road noise, wind noise...
Try ctyres.co.uk it has a lot of useful information and reviews of tyres for the price I would look at Dunlop SP Maxx for the few quid extra they appear to have a good write up.
I bought a 56 plate 3.0tdi Allroad (C6) in December with about 57,000 on the clock and it is brilliant, it is one of the most comfortable cars I've driven and at a flick of the switch into dynamic mode fun on the twisty bits..
Having over 100,000 on the clock I would have thought that most of...
Interesting, I was met with the same derision when I bought the A6 Allroad in December. The dealership wanted to to charge £400 for Auto Gym Life Shine you can guess what my answer was.
In the end I merely picked the car up any then washed it with Autogylm Car shampoo and then polished it with...
