2007 s3 with face lift front end and lights without different bonnet and wings?

hi everyone just found this on pistonheads hes got the facelift front end and lights fitted without a new bonnet and wings hows he done this i thought you had to change the whole front end of the car?

You do have to change the whole front end i know I have done this he has just cut out the holes for indicators on the new wings that's it, not a complete facelift doing it like that in my opinion.

they are original wings yes but that is a new bonnet look at the lines of the bonnet it matches the bumper so that is defo a facelift bonnet

I think the reason this is a '2010 uplift' is because it's a Cat D! Surely front end damage? Then done it up a bit to bring the re-sale value up!

Although, I do love Sprint Blue with the black wheels...

If he has put the washers in they will work as I used to have factory bi-xenons and everything was plug and play and washers work just fine.

It's a S3 so it would have had them out of the factory so no idea why he got a bumper without them could that be a s-line bumper not a S3 bumper as I thought all S3's had factory fitted xenons with washers

If i was to facelift an A3, I'd keep the original wing mirrors and side indicators. Don't like the dumbo's.

just checked its sline wheel ( though it was the old school one ) i think your right about the sline bumper tho.

the dumbos are nice, bigger mirrors for more visability! the MY11s are nice too but dont look as aggressive. dumbo has more of a chunky look on them

I prefer the my11 tbh they are more like the older generation ones or a fan of dumbos at all so glad Audi have gone back to the smaller ones

i like the way the fold upwards and closer to the window. the 8P2 mirrors hardly fold

The headlight washer jets on facelifts are different anyway, you cant use 03-08 washer jets on a facelift bumper simply because they dont fit them to the bumper anymore, they're fitted to the headlight brackets now, so the bumper lifts of easier except for the fog connectors.

As for the dumbos not folding in much, they fold in just past the wing width, which is the amount you need tbh as do the 2011's.

I've had my 2011 mirrors sat in a box for who knows how long, just cant find time to fit them with work, kid, family illness etc, but fitting them to others, I do prefer them tbh, they look great & folding is very cool even if its a bmw copycat lol
