Soon to be followed by a set of these off a bloke in preston, nice dude included everything except the adaptors, retaining rings were damaged but picked up a set from tps for about £20

Put the car on JOM Blueline coilovers while it was stored at the garage, chose them because i have a set on my mk5 golf and
they are comfortable and firm :)

^^ Could not be more AGREED!!

if the a$$ seller would have sent my RS3, I would be on your way!

But you put everything pretty fast on the page, you should make us more excited with a process of couple weeks :p :)

Why did you change the HOOD mate? ( I'm getting a facelift right now, it has been 2 weeks and about to finish ) I asked because my var is going to be an RS3 within a year progress and I wondered if I need to change the hood again?

Thanks a lot! :)

GREAAAAAAT JOB!!!

can you get me more shots at various angles from the wings, in exchange i can advise you on solving all your drl issues ;)

^^ I want a published issue solution since I'll make my DRL's on in a few days! :D

Haha i know how these forums work, and i know id get alot of stick doing an RS3 conversion mate, the cars complete so thought heck lets just put it all up and let everyone ask questions rather than bicker and argue about the doability of it :)

For example the other thread where Ash put up a pic of my wing contour and everyone decided to mock it, stupid minded souls :) seeing it in person you'd be surprised :)

And i didnt change the hood, check the post, i know i was a lil vague cause it was 3 in the morning lol, all we did was sand the hood down, fill a few stonechips and prepped it for respray

The wings need to be blown out to fit the RS3 Bumper, i had the bodyshop flare the arches to match the profile of my wheels

Lol any club meets soon? il just bring her round and you can take all the pics you like :) or wait a couple days and il get some angles on the wings and post them up :p

Even though my DRLs seem to be wired up correctly (pin 3 on block A and D), all the lights work except them, indicators, bi xenons, shutters...

:icon_thumright: not bad, you need to get some glass black pillars.

wanted to go for slightly custom but oem look, i might be doing them in the near future, your rear bumper was the inspiration to go ahead down the RS3 route :) awesome car, alot of balls doing a panoramic roof!

Nice job mate,I love it.However the rs3 badge is a bit too much, people will known its rs3 rep cause of the diesel sound lol. Also how much did you pay to get the seats retrimmed?

i knew someone would say that :p Ash heard the car and he can vouch for it, when its moving along it sounds beastly due to the screamer in the exhaust, so going along or even on slight throttle it masks up the noise :)

The badge maybe overkill but i like it, the steering wheel has the RS3 badge and so does the front grille and rear tailgate :)

The seats alone cost 1200 but the trimmers took care of me and i had the car done for about 1700 all in, this includes door pannels and seats headlining and pillars etc

Thanks bro :D, think i would be doin facelift end of this year if i dont go on holiday. you goin to get a rnse? and you missed the gear knob out :whistle2: lol

Nice job mate.

I actually really like the transformation and end result, even though it isn't the real deal!

What do your side badges say, can't see them properly on the iPad.

It says supercharged :whistle2: think the badges are of an RS5, they have the carbon inserts instead of the red

Tempted to get one but too many RNSE related thefts about, plus i spent a pretty penny on the car, the gearknob i like! might go for a TT one eventually but the leather gearknob on it does the job well :)

great work, really good done.
on the other thread the pic that Ash posted wasn't looking right. but you've sorted that part and now it looks very much factory fitted.

Very nice conversion there now just enjoy all your hard work about the rns-e though not sure if that will make much difference to thieves considering they will think you have an rs3 lol

with those metal work skills i'd be having the bodyshop flare the rear arches too!! like audi should have done!

Ahh so here is the thread!
i was waiting for this... yes i have to say the car at first glance is very deceiving and i have to say it looks and sounds good! some more power in the car would be good too.
Waqar i will send you some more info on your DRLs now that i have the time. was a hectic day after i left Birmingham yesterday.

also for anyone interested those sport seats he has there re-trimmed are very comfortable!

no mate i got a close up pic of that and i took those pics only yesterday! the obvious thing that you are missing is that when you look closely you notice it but from far it looks really good

then stop taking bad pics

you dumbo, how do you take a BAD pic? it was a close up of the joining of the bumpers... the pic i took it how it looks close up! the pics in this thread are of the whole car so you dont see how the arch meets the bumper.
maybe you should go and see it for yourself?

Nice work. It will still sound and go like a 1.9 TDi tho.
As for the seats.....WTF?

This looks sick! Should have done it to a 2.0 TDi and banged a hybrid turbo in though :eyebrows: People must get total hard ons when they think they've just done an RS3 at the lights lol

Not too fussed, its a tdi, its reliable, good on fuel, cheap to insure, 30 quid a year road tax, not as if im a boy racer

the speed limits 30 and it does that pretty well and smoothly :whistle2:

And whats the issue with the seats? the diamond effect comes on the inside of the rs3 buckets as an extra -
and i took inspiration from an aston dbs -

I really dont get the WTF part, your issue is?

I'd be embarrassed to drive a car with a badge on it which i knew wasn't real... However, it is an amazing looking car and theres no denying the quality of the transformation.

TBF i have no shame :) lol its a tdi that looks like an RS3, if insurance and maintenance wasnt that expensive, whos to say i couldnt have just bought an RS3 on finance? its good for what it is and i appreciate your concern, and thankyou :) was a labour of love

This is not directed to the quoted coment

Aside everything people, i enjoy constructive criticism, maybe even ideas for the future when i may decide to change some stuff about, but if a person cant go out and put thier money where thier mouths are, then i really dont want to hear or see any bull**** about my car, most forum members spend time and money on thier pride and joy but theres the few trollers that just spam our build threads and say it cant be done or no dont do this, or even say that its not good enough!

Real talk, people like them just about scrape enough to cover thier fuel costs and maybe change thier pads when they're due, dont be putting a man down that spends money adding mods to thier car

Each man to thier own opinion, to some, a mod may seem tastefull, to others it may not, dont be an *** about it!

I agree.. if I saw that at the lights and it was badged as what it actually is I would think to myself, "that's really nice, a lot of work went into that!"

However, with the RS3 badges on it it would be very different and may even raise a giggle ;)

So are you declaring all the modifications to your insurers? RS3 insurance isn't that bad really so I bet it's not that far off anyhow.. if your declaring that is?

No denying that you have put a lot of money and hard work into that!

haha i know, the 1.9 came at a good price, and yeah mind you people dont realise what it is till they see it from behind ;)

haha yeah all insured mate! buisness policy, all mods agreed with an arranged value for the car at any point it gets hit :) and thankyew!

believe me insurance is a pig for my area, i rather save a few thousand pounds and sink them into the car, rather than never see it again lol

i have a 1.9tdi golf mk5 gti rep
and a focus ST in white with a custom exhaust and a pumabuild tune etc so yeah this is a posers car :)

Did the transformation add much to your insurance as a modified car? just out of interest

Glad I don't live where you do!
No speed limits in Scotland........ :)

The seats look like you have let your granny loose with her favorite needle & thread!

Don't get me wrong, it's VERY well done....just not very tastefully done.(In my opinion)

I think I like the seats. Look good, and importantly different.

But....
I'm still puzzled by the RS3 badges! ;)

Really liking this, some amount of work has gone into it!

Whats the finish like on the interior parts which you plastidipped? I need to do all mine when im swapping the headlining but unsure whether to paint them or buy black parts

I think the RS3 badges are fair enough, as that was the aim. Still not keen on a rep though

But the supercharger badge? Give that one a miss.
