New RS3 owner!

Evening all,

Proud owner of a new RS3 in Suzuka Grey, just wanted to know if there is anything i need to look out for in terms of caring for the car in the miles to come (apart from that fantastic sound!)

I've ordered the very same car today, apparently it's already built and is sitting on a dock in
Germany somewhere, you know how Germany's famous for their docks...... Salesman tells me and old
iron and I'm a sucker I know........ Suzuka Grey the aristocrats choice you'll find.
estimated delivery date 01/12/12...... Happy Christmas everybody.......

Thanks for the warm welcome! Good to be here. I learned pretty much everything I needed to about my old car from forums so, as soon as I got the audi, did a search for audi forums and this one came on top. So thanks for having me!! I have a couple of photos of when the car was in the showroom but don't think they are the best of photos. Need to take some decent ones still, but not finding the time or the weather! First time I have entered the world of audi, after a Golf gti Edition 30 with 300bhp, which was very difficult to let go of. Soon got over it after this audi!! Already done 900miles! By the way, can someone tell me if the car run in at 900miles?

Suzuka is a firm favourite on here, don't think I've even seen a photo of an RS3 in Suzuka yet so excited to see how well it suits the car (should be pretty amazing). Did you go for the Alu pack or Black Optics?

Absolutely love the colour. In sunshine, it is very white but whenever there is a bit of shade, there is a hint of grey and blue. A good description of the colour I have seen is, it's like the difference between halogen and xenon headlights - xenon headlights make halogens look yellow!! I was actually quite lucky as the car was in the right colour and spec parked up in the showroom, so didn't have to wait too long. Just as well because I got quite depressed once the golf was gone! The car has the black styling pack, so gloss black rear diffuser, gloss black grill surround, black exhaust tips etc which compliments the colour of the car very nicely. Car also has bucket seats, which are fantastic, but am worried of the right leg bolster, which I rub against every time i sit or get out of the car, so wondering if some leather treatment might need to be applied.

Funnily enough that's exactly what I did yesterday in a long tunnel! It will be worth the wait I'll tell you that, and i'm sure many on here will agree. How do I post pics from my computer? Keeps coming up with a message saying I don't have permission to do that.

Got a puncture this morning in my TT, unrepairable I'm down £200.00 bucks for a tyre I didn't want on a car that won't be mine in 3 weeks....... Where's the justice, where I tell you.........

Think I'll take the train for the next three weeks, these things come in three's you know!

In the past, on the day I was on my way to sell my car a young person decided that he wasn't going to use the brakes on his moped, but instead used the back of my car to stop himself at a set of traffic lights...as a result, I couldn't sell my car that day, I lost out on the deal, the kid was uninsured, I had to go through my own insurance, lost 2 years NCB, delayed in getting my next car; booked the car in for repairs and got the car back 2 weeks later!! Complete nightmare!!! I had to pay out and stress for a kid who didn't know how to ride his moped, who is probably happily riding another moped and eyeing up who he can target next

Anyway, I have a few quick snaps, but will take some better photos with a better camera in due course...

yes, yes, yes...... Loving it........ And for the record you're story of the day you sold you're older car scares the **** out of me, gonna garage mine and get Audi to pick it up.

Audi confirmed mine is going on a boat on Monday due to land at Grimsby Thursday/Friday......... Usual drill transportation,preparation blah blah blah. 1st week December..... It's mine.

Thanks for the comments! I'm in club RS3 before club suzuka ;-)

I'm glad I went for this colour...Just before getting this one I had the option of getting a daytona grey or red one, but I definitely prefer this colour. Having said that the RS3 would even look monstrous even in pink lol.

Only thing is it does attract attention, mostly good but think I need to be on guard sometimes. Yesterday when filling it up I had a guy come up to me and ask how much the car is worth. Now bearing in mind I was the only other person apart from this guy at the pumps, I decided not to tell him (anyway, wanna kind of forget about that and enjoy the car). And a guy today in a lorry showed his appreciation of the car and the colour...it's something I'm getting used to lol.
