Had this since December 2011, 1.9 Diesel 130, 6 speed, it's a dark blue looks almost black/grey sometimes. so far I've treated it to

Set of new reg plates as the originals were looking a bit tired

Floor mats (Audi)

Mud flaps all round (Audi)

Decent head lamp bulbs

Double DIN conversion upgrading the stereo to the Symphony 6 Discs changer and cassette, Involved getting another climate control panel off a B7 and swapping over the circuit boards as the heated rear screen won't work using a B7 circuit board for some reason, and the Cage everything sits in and a bit of a trim to centre console were you can't see.

Genuine 18" 9 Spoke alloys with Good rubber, powder coated and still mint 6 months on

I have sprayed the grille frames satin black

Not really got too much planned for it as I have a Ford Escort RS2000 which is my main pride and joy, will get some more recent pictures up of the car soon

Needs servicing soon but as I have started using Bio-diesel it's reccomended to wait 300 miles then change fuel filter so I'm putting it back a week to give it chance to clean the crap out the tank. But the car runs great on it, nice smell of chips when it fires up with a larger puff of smoke haha

Got a GMBH lower rear spoiler as fitted to the S-Line 1.8T with the twin exhaust exits getting sprayed up at the moment, Costing me £120 fitted whichis very reasonable, and I know their work is top quality.

So I just need to get an exhaust sorted, was thinking of a custom made system, seen one advertised on ebay for MIJ exhausts for £399 I'm tempted to go for. Hopefully will be sorted in the next 2 weeks !

Nice car but quick word of advice VAG don't recommend bio diesel in any of there cars even the older pd engines. Can lead to clogged up injectors and pumps if your unlucky.

thanks, it's finally coming along now. Not really been too bothered about modifying it but I've given in now !

thanks for the advice but it seems to be well documented over the internet that audi say that diesels between 99-04 can run on it. At the pumps it is a minimum of 5% which is what they have to put in, morrisons choose to put 7% in, plus it is widely available in mainland Europe. It won't clog the injectors up though, putting veg oil in pure would do just that, it is just the old mechanical injection engines which will run on that sort of stuff, I wouldnt dream of doing that to this.

I asked all these questions before I started using it and I've done a bit of research into it. The difference with Bio-Diesel to Veg oil is it is refined and isnt as thick as veg oil, there is a long process to making it. Even though that is what it started out as. I would say it about as viscous as diesel. At the moment the car must have pretty much pure bio diesel in and it is fine, AND it's £1.10 a litre !!!

Just to add, there was a B7 type A4 2.0TDI on an 07 reg in the queue before me, I asked him myself how his runs and he said I run it 100% no issues :icon_thumright: On a previous visit a 61 Reg isuzu pickup turned up for fuel, and the company van he has is a 2010 vauxhall vivaro he says thats only ever had diesel in when he collected it from the dealers brand new :S so I feel quite confident in using it, i ran the car on a small amount first.

Personally I think manufacturers don't want to commit to saying yes you can use Bio diesel purely because it is privately owned busnesses which produce it and it is down to them and their own quality control procedures and therefore a risk you have to be willing to take. It's not as if they are big international brands like Shell and Esso.

So running a mix 50/50 wouldnt do any harm especially in winter as it is possibly a bit thicker than diesel, plus the bio diesel will have the lubricating qualities which modern diesel is lacking these days do to it being "low sulphur"

Big thumbs up for the RS! Had a 1993 facelift in pacific blue (i think) about 8 years ago. Amazing car, noisy chain driven bullet proof engine. Watched the engine from 2 feet away when on a rolling road test, never forget that noise lol, soo loud and a bit scary. But in true ford fasion of that era, the car rusted and fell to bits!
Nice clean audi though, rate that colour too. Good to see you sorting the rear bumper and exhaust out, dont know why audi hid the exhausts on the diesels??! Twin exhausts smoking on a cold day do look good!

Handle very well for an old Escort, I actually had a drive of an R reg 1.4 CVH today at work and it felt very wallowy on the road, forgot how different the suspension is ! It is a bit noisey to be honest when on the motorway, at 70 the revs will be 3500 RPM !! on my 1.6 it was just under 3000 but yeah they're very reliable engine. Thankfully this hasn't rotted like the rest :)

Do you mean rare ? Think I've seen about 5 in this colour over the 11 months I've had it, couple of A3s and TT's too. Theres one that comes into work identical to mine, but with 55K ! it's immaculate, only downside to it it has manual rear windows and no cruise control haha.

Well, i dont recall seeing many your colour, could be mistaken for black lol. I have DIY rear windows which is a bit of a let down tbh!
If i remember right the rs had proper rear arb's making a noticiable difference to handling. Just remember to keep the rs clean or it will rust into oblivion!!!

No the suspension set up is exactly the same as the rest, just the springs are slightly shorter and stiffer. They have a solid twist beam rear axle with mc pherson struts like the rest. Dosnt have an ARB on the rear. The RS 4x4 though had independant rear supension with control arms and link arms and possibly an ARB but I don't know a lot about those cars specs.

It wasnt a standard colour I believe, had to pay extra. it's nice when its clean but looks **** on a dull day or when it's dirty you would think it were black
