Yes and from what I remember you were keen to get inside and have a feel first thing in the morning. How foolish I was to let you on our first meet ;)

All in the details lol.... They are the same on a few other shots too, weird!

Got quite a few more to upload and ive no photoshop so they'll be unedited like these.

Guys, the 8h drive was well worth it. I really enjoyed being around you, and I could finally find out what my car was all about. That B road blast seemed like being in the zone.

Grip, grip, grip, and more grip!

Glad you had a great day guys!

Thanks, firstly in all seriousness Robbies car looked stunning even in the rain. Fine detailing work once again.

A couple of questions though:

- how much does polish weigh ;) because Robbie seemed to have trouble keeping up? I think he was just making up an excuse.

- did you notice if robbie walks with a slight limp? I think his right leg might be shorter than his left and he has trouble pressing the loud pedal all the way down? Could you make him a built up shoe or something?

Looks like a great day and sorry I couldn't make it in the end. More Suzuka's will be there next time, anyway Ibis is common as the mook that covered them yesterday!

Hope you're daughter is feeling better P_G, BUT!: don't worry about the Suzuka's, just be there... If anything like yesterday you'll not see the colour till you get back home and wash it! SHE really does have that Welsh sheep droppings hue!

Looks like yous had a good day apart from the weather. Good to see some exclusive colour representation against the off the shelf colours of the rest.

To be honest the weather made it very interesting........ 'Let's fire up the Quattro'
the B5105 in the wet is........ well let's just say it got nautical out there.........
would recommend it to anyone, meet at Ruthin Castle, drive 14.5 miles down B5105 and then buzz round GYG karting circuit or the Evo-Triangle........

Seriously what was it like spinning an RS3 around a karting track? What kind of speeds could you hit those bends looked ever so tight?
Hope I can make the next meet and I never want to see an Ikea box in my life again.........................

No point asking me pigpen, I'm slower than porridge. Better asking MBK or Mr Freeze, I managed to hit 80mph in third gear. The DSG got a serious workout, it was tight and it wasn't perfect but it was a laugh....... Look at the picture below closely, Mr Freeze is inspecting the damage done hee hee hee

It was awesome and fair play to GYG for letting us take the RS3's on. I will post up some GoPro video from a few laps later. It was narrow, tight, technical, wet and slippy, plenty of 4 wheel slides rather than a track about big speed. As much fun, if not more than some of the car tracks I've been on because of the lack of space and almost constant direction changes.

Safely home after another 3 hours of Welsh A road petrolhead heaven and here are the first of our pictures.

We'll start with the flypast from the B5105.

B5105

Robbie, quite foolishly in my opinion, allowed me to lead RS3 Squadron from Ruthin Castle along the B5105 route to GYG Karting. I may have forgotten to mention to him that I am a) quite mad & b) live by the motto 'I am Speed'. We scooted off like the proverbial scolded cat, built up a gap and made a quick handbrake turn into this junction. We then had a somewhat leisurely picnic lunch while we waited for squadron to make it's flypast. As the mrs was little more than noisey excess ballast (you think your brakes squeal!) I kicked her out of the lovely dry and warm RS3 to stand mere inches from speeding traffic to take these pictures. Don't worry though, I really don't mind her suffering to get you these shots, I'm all heart me.

MBK - a short interlude while we waited for the second flight to catch up enabled this shot of red hope in the gloom:

The fury of angry 5 cylinder sounds was a joy to behold as each set of cars passed. A superbly spirited start to the driving activities of the day, even the weather couldn't dampen our spirits after this 14 mile jaunt.

Sunday meet: 190-overall miles for me @ 25.2 MPG: that's amazing for the totally 'legal' progress I/we were making!

And I wasn't overtaken once: :footy:

However, had MBK tried to overtake me on that narrowest of tracks I'm sure I'd have had him in the kitty-litter; - sorry MBK, truly meant for Catnip :friends: RESPECT and thanks

A few more from the 'colour line up' at GYG, similar to others already shared but I thought I'd add anyway in case anyone likes a particular image:
