Hi, bit confused....
If you choose not to have the CD changer option, you still have the single slot CD player but does this still play as a DVD player also...? (I don't see any reason why not?) apologies if i'm being a bit 'fick!

Ditto, but I belive the single slot is actually a cd changer too? Never tried a cd in there tbh.

Didn't want to start a new thread but just looking an answer or two.

Popped round to see a mates new (to him) 2013 A6 Avant with tech pack plus (I think) which has the bigger screen.

He has the jukebox like I do in my 2009 S4

He also showed me that he was able to watch videos from his jukebox, family guy to be precise. So I borrowed his cable (4F0 051 510 AB with USB end) and tried it in my car.

I was able to view the titles of the movies on my USB and the ones that I could select (based on right format) I could hear them but couldn't see them.

Is there something I am doing wrong or am I not able to view DVD/videos in my 2009 S4?

Mines a single slot and plays both CD & DVD no problem, I also have the bigger screen, 7" I believe which is an 8.5 update.

My old S4 had a single slot that took 6 CD's but don't think the RS does this. I wouldn;t want to anyway as I have a full 160G iPod in the glovebo which gives me all my tunes, I just wish I could get it to show album art.

If you can hear sound but get no video then the screen res is not correct on the file you need to re size the video and they will work.

I believe it is 520 x 380 but I need to check this to confirm, I am away until Friday but will post back, I will also give details of what I used to convert the movie files to this res as it was a free bit of software.

520 x 380 res; that'd would explain why I haven't been able to play mine, (2013 A4 B8.5 Bl Ed)

I suppose it has to be a certain format too, avi, MP4 etc. I've tried a few with no luck, so any advice welcomed

The DVD player down scaels the video source for the screen, there is now scaling form USB so its soemthing you will have to do when ripping the video to the storage you are then ataching to the USB socket (SD car, HDD etc.)
