I've bought a 2nd hand unit and I would love to know how you get the old unit out...:meeting:

I've checked the stickies and can't find anything...

Phil :kissmyrings:

I used a thin driver with a cloth wrapped round it to gently prise it out without damaging the surrounding trim when I changed mine. Takes about 2 minutes to swap it out with another unit.

Hi, basically I had the same issue...and it was stuck in very very tight! I literary had to use full force to yank it out....if you have a facelift S3 you'll see two pressure clips at the top that move when you pull :) Don't be afraid to give it a good yank! BUT make sure you are holding it from a solid part (not the flexible edges that could damage the screen)

Looking at the replacement unit I have, I can see the two clips on the top of it but I just can't see how to displace them without causing damage...

Hmm those clips should be able to be pressed down (with difficulty!) it wont be easy as they are pressure clips...as you are removing the old unit you should see these being pushed down as you are pulling :)

I bought a replacement unit 6 months ago and keep putting off changing them. This isn't inspiring me with confidence that it'll be a straight forward job lol
