New guy, first Audi - A4 B8 S line

Looks like a very classy A4 for a youngster @philbell (no offence meant BTW, I am an ancient 43, but can remember when I was first starting out with cars) ..

If I'm 100% honest I'm nae sure about the new wheels but will reserve judgment until I see them on, I'm more of an OEM look person and some rotors would have looked spot on.

As long as you like them though, that's cool.

Nice car anyway, and the drop in height looks good on it ..

Thank you very much bud! Yeah well ever since I had my first car i've fell in love with the Stance/Car scene I understand it's an unusual car for someone my age to be driving but it's what I go to work/live for! No holidays or stupid expenses for me...

I brought the car with the intention of slamming in and buying some aftermarket wheels, OEM was never in my mind. Not that I don't like it but i'm definitely someone to strive away from the norm. Thank you though bud!

Oh.. No sorry, i thought you asked the level of tint  It's a tiniting wrap, the same as windows, but this is thicker and has a gloss on the top of the vinyl! My bad

Thanks mate did u do it yourself? Where did u get the wrap. I'm interested in doing the same

Cheers

After a long summer I have finally got my alloys...

Want to sort my suspension sorted before I buy tyres, I'm stuck between coilovers or air but I don't want to spend 3k?!

An RS grill with siliver trim is next along with new exhaust tips as mine have seen better days.

Also the guys from Quantum44 are sending a photographer out for when the cars sitting pretty!

Nice car bud!! Love the wheels btw they look very similar to the golf mk7 gti wheels u can get I think
If the ride is good enough why spend 3k where that could go in to the car something else maybe? Just a idea but looking good dude

I honestly can not wait to see it, with rubber. What size are the wheels and any reason you ran staggered ?

Thank you bud! I've never seen a pair, credit must go to Manda as she directed me to these wheels :) I know thats what I was thinking, Maybe just some better coilovers for now as I can't justify air just yet.. Thanks though

Neither can I!! They are 10j rear with a 45 offset?(not 100%) Fronts are 9j et 35... I ran staggered just because I prefer the stance..

My mate was going to run them wheels they are a cheeky wheel

When you getting rubber, you going 255/35/19 front and rear ?

Wooo looks awesome :) with air all i can say is it is overrated, it eats bushings and is a constant worry, a new knocking noise every few weeks to deal with, i love my air but when i get a new car i will be going coilovers route.

As above, what tyre size you going? I got 235/35 on my 10js as any more tyre they won't clear my arches enough, but mine are et35 so sit further out

Nice looking car Phil. I use Tyreleader.co.uk for all my tyres . Take about 3 days to be delivered from Germany, really good prices. Then take them down Chase Tyres in Norton Canes who will fit and balance them for £10 a wheel.

Karl.

Air would be everyones choice if it wasn't so problematic :( So i think i'm going to go for H&R monotubes as they go to 60mm which is surely near what i'm at now?

This is what i need help with now Manda.. My rears are the exact same as yours 10j et35 so would you reccomend 235/35?
My fronts are 9j et32, what would you suggest there? I'm ****** hopeless as this..

Thank you very much Karl! You may notice me when these wheels are on.. As for chase tyres... Do you know if they use anything to protect the rims? I've heard good stuff about them but seen as i will need a bit of stretch on my tyres recon this is somthing they would do? The last place I went to scratched thewhole inside of my rims.. :(

They are pretty good , I have never had an issue with them, they fit a lot of alloy wheels there. I would have a word with them before, just give them a ring and see if they are happy to fit them, if you are going to want a stretch on the tyres as this can be a pain sometimes depending on how much of a stretch you want.

Do not stretch they look pants, I think 255 are still recommended fitting for 10s

Yeah do not ruin the drive of your car by going extreem low.

I had a 2.8 Capri back in the day that could not clear speed bumps

I already have :tearsofjoy: I can't get over any single speed bump unless it's the width of the road then i can manoeuvre over them.. I had the clear intentionto slam this when I bought it.. I'm a terrible person I know but that's the look i'm going for.. Each to their own and as many of ou say on here it's definitely an age thing, maybe when I destroy it i'll change my ways, until then I plan on being the biggest idiot around

Vauxhall ? It's a ford

Oh my favorite ever vauxhall, my dad had one of these in baby blue!
Thinking of a calibra maybe :)

I have the same on my 8.5 fronts which is no stretch, but offset is low in mine and i wanted to retain some comfort and wheels protection.
I would be tempted to try 225/35 which wouldn't be very stretched, or 225/25 -215/25 as et 32 is very aggressive.
Have a look at the official wheel thread on audizine and look for same specs as yours and what other people have tried.
Make sure you get the fronts rolled! :)

I've have been there and done it, if it can be done to a car I have done it over the years.

A scatter cam race engine in a road car, stupidly low Capri and rover sd1 vitesse so low you could not get a jack under it, 10k hifi, then built a sound off car, de seemed mini with 13" 1340cc, massive engine work to an Alfa " super sleeper " to name but a few, enjoy your r car, I enjoyed all mine

I had a Capri mk2 only a 1.6L though :whistle2:, my dad had a nice A reg black 2.8i for a while before it was stolen.
Back in the day there weren't that many speed bumps. These days they are everywhere. My car just rubs when I drive into the works car park, If I have a passenger they have to get out and my car isn't that low really.
I take it you don't bother going near Halfrauds at Longford island then Phil. For me air is the way to go if you want low as it's practical but just very expensive.

The fuzz are getting funny now about stretched tyres now and mot man doesn't like them either I have heard but could be wrong???

nice looking car mate, keep up the good work, slam it to the deck :sunglasses:

I've never had any trouble around where I live, plus when it's MOT i'll slap my standard wheels on
Fair shout just putting it out the there when I had the golf got stopped suite abit

excessive stretch yes maybe, but 235/35 on a 10j is not excessive.

only once been pulled by police and they went to town on my car asking me about the stretch and other mods, they was on a mission to catch people that night but i was super polite and fluttered the eyelashes, told them they are fitted withing manufacturer guidelines and he just gave me a lecture that stretch is dangerous under heavy driving but not illegal in my case... I held back being a know it all and didnt tell him track cars have stretch tyres and get really abused and drifted around bends with no danger issue...
