I know there's threads on here about servicing, but I just wanted to encourage you all to shop around when it comes to servicing you car.

Whilst I couldn't find a dealership to match some of the prices forum members have paid I did save over £130 by phoning round.

Derby Audi wanted £390 for an oil change service, the young lady on the phone was most rude when I tried to get them to review their price..... Shan't deal with them again.

Another issue is charging for topping up the washer bottle. As well as always being clean I make sure my washer bottle is brimming when taking it in. The dealer tried to charge me £7 for topping an already full washer bottle up. Which I refused to pay (I expected this and had a picture on my phone showing it full). Its a rip off most dealers do.

Steve, in the garage review system you can share in dependant garage information with other forum members. Please feel free to do so. :) x

I'm in Glasgow, I used A for Audi who Audi Glasgow recommend. Service was £90+VAT, I also topped up my washers before the car went in but they still left me a new bottle of Audi screen wash on the seat.
They also have the correct equipment to log the service on to the Audi system so no warranty is effected, I phoned Audi Glasgow and they confirmed this also.

They charged me £3.13 when I went to collect/pay for the service, unfortunately I'd forgotten to top it up before I took it in :(

Total was £206 as they matched the next closet Audi dealership..I'll be looking for a specialist for the big service. (If I still have the car then!).

My local VW/Audi specialist charged me 119.0 pounds last Saturday for the oil/filter, sump plug & washer etc & always give you a free bottle of screen wash. All genuine parts used. VASSTech in Knaresborough.

Glasgow Audi just quoted me £399 for inspection and oil change for my 2015 Q5. Dundee quoted me £237!!

After a few phone calls and no one returning my calls I paid Glasgow a visit. Shocking service as usual. Wouldn't match price of Dundee. Eventually they agreed to matching price if I got a written quote from Dundee, which I did!

The two prices for same service wasn't even remotely similar.

Shocking, how can they ever justify that...I'd be giving Audi UK a call! After all Glasgow Audi are the face of Audi in your area.

£330 for my 1st oil change and yes I did ring around :fearscream:

TX.

I contemplated phoning AUK. Glasgow Audi are just rip off merchants hence the reason ive always bought elsewhere.

You should call them, they will act on it. When I complained they gave my dealership a good kick up the backside! My problem was sorted within the week and as a sorry they gave me a brand new R8 for the day :) All dealerships are only a franchises for Audi, so they need to be reported so that Audi can keep them in check.

Me too Lenny.

I changed mine recently, it cost me £28 for the oil and a genuine filter.

Will that not cause problems when coming to sell the car without a full Audi service history of yous are just doing it yourself?
It is the best and cheapest way apart from the full Audi service history problem

I just buy 8 litres of castrol edge so I have it if I need a top up an filter an plug, I don't like audi going near my car to be honest unless I have to as they messed up on something before which cost me just under £1000 for a brand new downpipe won't go into detail. mine has had its first service stamp along with the 20k inspection
