No RS3 orders being taken

There were definitely pops and crackles on the downshifts in that Shmee video.

I am embarrassed to say I haven't finished watching that one yet ;-) I will watch it later.. I were quite disappointed when I noticed there weren't any.

But that's the most FUGLY hot hatch ever......RS3 Sportback face lift......does not exist.....
2018 I reckon Jassy. Hold on to your money mate. Don't go to the TT dark side.

Good spot! It's turning into a manufacturers 'arms race'.

Interesting timescales too. This is exactly what I have been saying for a fair few months now. When you spot a model out on test at the Nurburgring (or wherever else) then its usually a good 12 months or more before you can get your hands on one at the dealers (and even longer for one on your drive!)

We haven't seen an updated RS3 out on test yet, and lets be honest, if you were Audi would you put a car out there in the next 3 to 6 months knowing that Merc will shortly release a better A45 AMG not long after.
I would say it is even more likely to be 2018 for a 'new model' RS3 Sportback with plenty of new bells & whistles and no doubt lots of ponies under the bonnet too! Maybe some carbon ceramic brakes on options list this time? (the new TTRS has them)

Thanks! Like you say Audi will be making sure the RS3 is top dog and won't be letting the A45 take the crown away so soon like they did this year.

Craig, are you trolling me again?
This is getting tiresome. As much as your posts lighten up my day I feel like you're becoming my personal stalker... which is worrying.
You'll be hiding in the bushes in my front garden next, scraping your sausage fingers down the bonnet of my RS3 - you little green eyed monster, you.

You responded to my post about an exhaust noise with your somewhat archaic views on what you think women like or should like so I commented on your reply.
If you don't want to engage don't reply to my posts.

Bushes; how middle class.

It will be arrive at some point over the next year. The new A45 in 2018 will be special though.

I hope so man. You sound like you really want one. So fair do's.
Don't know about the A45. Had one for a couple of weeks after a biker went into the back of me at the lights. Plastic fantastic. Wasn't impressed at all. Apart from the seats which were real nice.

Oh Craig there's no need to be so black and white about things. You know I like to engage with you. Life would be dull without you stalking this forum, and stamping your feet when you don't like something. You remind me of Freddy Krueger, but with TT TDI keys for fingers. Haunting all us RS3 owners in our sleep.
And yes. Bushes. The type you like to hide in.

Sausage / car key fingers, dreams and hiding in bushes...........
It's all getting a bit bizarre for me.
Enjoy your manly weekend, I'll be spending mine washing my lady mobile and hanging around with the girls.

I thought you might be up to something like that, enjoy!
I will be chopping up some logs in a forest somewhere. Might crush a few empty cans of lager with one hand too. We will see.

Yeah I really do and can't wait for it to arrive.....I'm very patient so prepared to wait but I do agree about the A45 interior, it is plastic fantastic but still a good 2nd choice!

TTRS is more toned down, noise wise.
For the girls, you know...:tearsofjoy:
One of the options, apparently, is fake eyelashes for the headlights. I heard it's got a special compartment for your makeup too.:astonished:
******* hell, this 'joke' is tedious.

Your grumpy responses are tedious Andy, but you don't hear me complaining.:anguished:
Er.. you just did. Which other grumpy responses are you referring to?
All this feminine, hairdresser crap. It's so old, it's so tedious and so boring. It's as pathetic now as it was in 1998. I'm frankly amazed that people still wheel it out these days without feeling embarrassed to do so. Give it a rest mate.

I think that's the problem mate.
There is ZERO news on the next RS3 other than unreliable comments, there is no firm news whatsoever from Audi, especially for the U.K. .... so people are getting frustrated with the lack of information or sign of a car.
So all that's left for now is general talk & continued speculation !

You are correct @Snake Pliskin

However, speculation is one thing, petty point scoring is anojther. Speculation could go on for months yet. Unless, Audi have pulled off the biggest cover up in RS history by keeping the SB a huge secret and it appears alongside the saloon?

I don't think there is anything to keep secret. Audi will simply apply the updates the the SB and the saloon will need testing as the RS3 engine is going into a saloon for the 1st time.

Hi,

After losing out on a cancelled order by a matter of hours, I bit the bullet and went to order new. I have now had it confirmed by three dealers that Audi are not accepting orders on the A3 or RS3 at this time. This RS3 saga just gets better and better. I know I be been on here before but an 8 week wait and a fully loaded A45 discounted looks better by the day. I know about the 5th cylinder syndrome, but is it worth all of this bother..honestly?
I've just picked up my chipped RS3 got it chipped at 3 k miles it's a total beast

I just thought I'd leave this here, to help with the RS3 / TTRS noise discussion.....

I questioned my local dealer about the new RS3, and he confirmed both the SB & saloon where happening and they already had two customers put their name down for the saloon.

I have learnt to take this type of speculation lightly until Audi UK decide to confirm it to us punters :culpability:

That just shows you the difference in the two models, noise wise. Not much comes close to the RS3 8V. I would still love a TTRS though. Reviews look great...

It does pretty much some the situation up, unfortunately. There's a lot of talk and no firm answers.
I would love to see the F/L sportback though, it will come... the issue is just when?
My guess is early 2018.

Save yourself man. You'll kick yourself after a year in the A45, seeing all those new RS3's!

I know but I've got to have a backup plan just in case.....

I admire your commitment to the RS3 cause RVP.
What about the RS4? Sure it will materialise some time next year.
Or the M4? Fine example of a motor that is. I would be tempted myself but first baby is on the way, and my dog is getting too big for a coupe...

Nice car that like:sunglasses:

Not bad, would prefer a SB haha. My cut off is March, if I haven't heard anything after the next two motor shows then any updates will be too far away so I will look used I think :) That video I posted earlier on has helped me make that decision, haha. I must have one, so jealous of all you driving them already.

Picture taken from instagram, Ara Blue Saloon on test :)

Makes me laugh how they try and cover them up when the face lift is out now ?

It's hardly top secret design any more is it :)

What's with the old style alloys on it though ?

I've had a look on the Approved site.... a couple of times a day ;) There aren't any on there which stand out anymore. Quite a lot of black cars, but I wouldn't go for a black RS3 personally. There is one nice Sepang car at the moment with awesome spec, priced £7,000 over it's recommended valuation haha.

As much as it is tempting because I have the deposit there, I'm not in a position yet to do all I want like have the car detailed when I take delivery, fit the must have tracker etc etc. It all seems's a bit rushed, so that's how I decided on March after the Frankfurt show, it's going to be a difficult wait though. The only concern for me then is the demonstrators will of racked up more miles, the thought of a demonstrator makes me cringe :( I'm hoping one of the caring forum members on here will decide they are bored of the start-up bark every morning and put one into Audi with low milage ;)

Hmm we've all been where you are in one form or another.

For me it was 2013. Was waiting for news on the S3, gave up, looked at a Merc A45 AMG, quickly went back to Audi & bought an S5 which was a superb car prior to my RS3. Not the same curcumstsnces, but appreciate how the 'waiting' can be frustrating !

Hopefully news on a FL will be forthcoming soon ... or you can find a great spec one on Audi approved, or something else in the Audi range takes your eye

But sorry mate ... will never tire of hearing that start up bark in the morning or anytime of day :sunglasses:
Or howl @ 3,500 rpm :sunglasses::sunglasses:
