Hi just brought a 2008 b8 a4 saloon 2.0tfsi s line. I'm getting it tinted tomorrow and need advice for future mod. I done search but can't find specific answer or pic I'm looking for. Ok I want fit a aftermarket sub in the car it's about 1200watt I have 3 option
1)can I connect it straight to the amp that's on the car and get rid of factory sub. Will factory amp be powerful enough to handle the sub.
2)Or should I also replace the amp too and can I just disconnect the factory amp and put new on in.
3)keep the factory amp and sub but also buy connect aftermarket amp and sub using a speaker to rca converter so I still use factory stereo.

I ran my sub and amp from the plug on the OEM sub. Didnt want to cut into any wires, so just took the signal feed to the OEM sub and put it into the hi-lo of my amp. Gives you the OEM bass control through the radio interface too.

Might be worth checking it's not burning oil and had the oil consumption fix before spending out.
