That’s a good price yes, what discount did you get?

What's the RRP and what's the discounted price?

Does it include a P/X?

Make sure you actually do those miles though especially if you plan on handing it straight back. You may want to consider a lower mileage and just go over. Sometimes the penalty is waived if you trade up.

The mileage also puts the monthly up

You don't get charged for excess mileage if you trade it. You just get a trade valuation based on the age/mileage it's done.

So by setting it lower than what you do, you will underpay over the term, but will just end up paying it at the end, as by definition you'll be in negative equity (your GFV is overestimated and will be higher than the trade in value). If you just hand it back (since you are in negative equity and don't want to pay it...), then you do have to pay the excess mileage.

Audi aren't in the business of giving you freebies I'm afraid...!

Using the above spec, looking quickly at you monthly figures, I'd say they are "Total amount of credit £30,100???" if that is the case your monthly of £405 is about right along with the GFV. Also the discounted price of your car is around £32,500 which again is about right.

Was thinking the residual value was low, then I saw the mileage. Sounds about right if it'll have the full 68k miles on at the end of the term.

Bear in mind that, if you end up doing significantly less, then the actual value at the end of the term could be significantly higher but you'll only be able to benefit from that if you put the balance towards a new deal.

Make sure you add the 4-year/75k mile extended warranty.

Just one thing to do before you buy! I see you went for privacy glass, privacy glass on the black edition is free! yes the car costs more, but the GFV will be higher! So it may work out around the same price!

Just did a quick quote with no options on either, if you add privacy cost onto the standard car you are only £1k difference...worth getting a quote on pcp:

The mileage is about right, of course if I changed job it is very likely the mileage I do per year would drop but I cannot see that happening the forceable future.

My plan would be to trade it in around the 3 year mark and use any equity ( if any ) towards my next car so it's probably wise to be realistic with the mileage.

Ideally I wanted to keep the monthlies below £400 so I may try to squeeze a bit more out of the dealer but they have matched drive the deal.

Yea it’s a good deal. If there is no P/X then it looks about 14% discount (including the £850 contribution), which is high. Don’t think you will be able to squeeze much more.

My advice is to get the deal over the term you want to keep it. The GFV is only guaranteed at the 48month mark with 68k on the clock. If you get a new valuation at 3yrs it will be dependent on the value at that time you want to change. In other words it could (highly likely with a release of a new model...) be much lower than a GFV you get predicted on a 36month now.

I agree a BE trim might actually be better given the difference in GFV and price, since it has privacy glass already.

You’ll benefit from it whether you trade it in on P/X (new or used), sell privately, sell it to Audi or any garage.

It’s just a difference between the finance owed and the value of the car.
