New owner 2004 TT 180bhp Quattro

Hi all

Recently back to Audi after 27 years away.

I have a lengthy post in the Welcome Section for my A4 PD130 Avant that I got a month back.

My partner has loved the Audi TT since it was launched. Last weekend she gave the green light for getting one so I found a nice 2004 180 bhp quattro. 3 owners, full service history (last serviced about 200 miles ago), black leather interior. Nice alloys. 77k miles. MOT until December. Seller is emigrating to France hence the sale.

Collecting it Saturday. Booked in at my pals garage (he is my go to man when I get stuck or need to borrow a ramp, and has been working on cars for 30 + years and knows his stuff) for cambelt, tensioner, waterpump and haldex oil change on Tuesday.

I have never driven one before, put a big smile on my face during the test drive yesterday. Such a nice fun car. Love the way it corners and handles.

On the ramp today - all looks good underneath.

New parts from TPS being fitted tomorrow:

Cambelt and tensioner, water pump. Aux belt. New thermostat and housing.

Fixed a loose clip on the heat shield above the exhaust causing a rattle.

Cleaned up the leather and gave it some leather conditioner. Looks fresh now.

Washed, clay bar and polished the other night. Now it looks awesome in the sunshine.

Pulled the drivers door lock mechanism and cleaned up the microswitch. Now the window drops as you get out and the beep for the lights being left on works again
