Hi Guys,

Electrical socket to Dump Valve -

Bit of a silly question; I am running a Revo Stage 3 Map on a 2007 A3 8P 2.0 TFSI. When it came to replacing and relocating the DV to the front of the engine, I found that I could undo the plastic spiral wrap and unclip the wrap on the coil pack rail and take out the cables to the DV and leave enough cable length to relocate the DV socket to the front without cutting / buying an extended cable.

The problem is that the actual male socket has lost its "clip" to secure it to the dump valve. I basically need a new Male socket and have no idea what I am trying to order / find.

Does anyone know what the part number for just the male end socket is that connect to the body of the DV, or even better, the best place to get one? (Currently running with a cable tie!!).

Many thanks all..

These plugs have a tendency to loose their flimsy clips as some people do not reaslise that you have to squeeze the connection together before pushing the clip away. If the clip is catching on the little notch, people push too hard often with a screwdriver and it snaps off. The most common for snapping are the D plugs attached to the coil packs due to the heat cycles making the plastic brittle. I expect the same has happened here as the DV is on the turbo.
I believe new plugs can be ordered from Audi but you need a special pin pushing tool to get the electrical pins out of the old plug. They just push into place in the new one.
Is there an auto electrician locally you can take the car and a new plug to and it would not even be a 10 minute job.

THanks Guys,

As i say, I've kept the original wires by taking them out of the existing loom and coil pack rail and then running them directly to the front DV. It's just the "Electrical socket to DV" I need.

I'vrealready got the pins to swap it over, just need the socket.

Thanks again!!
