It'd be nice to know a 'best case scenario' from build to delivery - just in case I get as lucky as you!
Nice work! Mine was placed via a Southampton dealer a week after yours and I'm still awaiting a build slot, with a 00 code still. Doesn't it all depends on how good the dealer is, in terms of volume of business it puts in, gets it more and prefered build slots?
I did really push for another £250 on my trade in before I would sign up, and my theory is the sales manager only agreed to it because he knew he could somehow get it a month earlier than the original estimate, hence saving himself an extra month depreciation on mine, which by coincidence he reckoned was £250. Even so it's an impressive turnaround and it was only at the docks waiting for a boat for 2 days.
Collected mine today, minus a valve cap on one of the tyres that somehow went missing, thankfully noticed when I wasn’t too far away from dealer and went back and got one.
...then when I got home had realised they’d put it on fixed servicing and not variable. Which is getting fixed next weekend.
But aside from that, collection went well, Car was nice and dirty which means they didn’t accidentally wash it. Was a great drive home.

The tracker is showing that my car is at the dealer now, but my salesman says it was due in on Monday but still hasn't arrived yet. Has anyone else had the tracker being ahead of reality rather than behind. I'm now paranoid that maybe the car has arrived with some damage and is actually in the paintshop

Anyway from order to collection was 1 day under 7 weeks, which I think might be some sort of record, so I certainly can't complain! Very happy with the car too

You've done really well with that, my build week was only one week after yours and I've a feeling I won't see mine until well into April.

As the post above I thought the order status went from 30 to 38 but I seem to have acquired a status 36 as below cut & pasted from JSON.
Any ideas?

My new TT sat at Status 36 for many days before moving to 39. Neither Audi UK nor the dealer could or would give me an explanation of what it actually meant!

Just checked this morning & it's at status 38.
Seems like it was at 30 for about 10 days, then status 36 for a couple of days & now at 38.
The bottom line is I'll just have to be patient like everyone else.

Has anyone picked their car up from the factory? Sounds like a good day out with a factory tour and lunch

@COL3011 If it's any consolation, my new TTS took 14 days from the time it left Ingolstadt until it landed in the UK. It was only on the high seas for about one day. It then took a further six days to get to the Dealer and another 6 days for collection (Today, yipee!!! (which admittedly included some work I wanted them to do)).

Hi,
I have an S3 saloon sat at Emden that left the factory on March 8th. Does anyone know of any delivery hold ups with shipping at the moment, the dealer ahs told me it seems to be a problem with A3 saloons and that mine has been on priority shipping since the 7th April, but it's still sat there (according to the tracker) and showing no signs of change.

Could be stuck in "Extended QC" phone Audi customer services and find out if the car has been release for shipping, they will be able to let you know. I had one of my A3's stuck at the port for over 5 weeks due to extended QC...
Made the leap and ordered my S3 last week. Dealer has now given me the tracking details and I have build week 18. Tbey think that delivery should be achievable by the end of May. Does that seem realistic?

According to the tracker mine saloon left the factory on 27th March, was on the ship 13th April & arrived in the UK 17th April.

Have you reached status 38 yet?
If no then it could be as @B5NUT suggests that the car is held for extra QC a.k.a rectification work
If yes then you're probably just unlucky with the boats leaving Emden. Where in the UK are you? When I tracked mine people in the north seemed to wait longer as not many vessels went into the port of tyne.
No matter what the dealer tells you your car will get onto a boat when it fits into the logistics company's shipping plan, Audi UK have no influence.
Yep, has been at status 38 for weeks. I figured they wouldn’t have any influence, just wondered if anyone had any ideas why? My dealer said there are people still waiting for cars from BW8 but reading above it seems people are definitely getting them delivered so no reason for mine to specifically be sat there so long! Oh well, just have to keep waiting! I’m midlands based if that helps?

I’m having a very similar story with my A3 saloon. Had build week 10 and been stuck on status 38 since 15th March. I’ve been told there are a number of vehicles having the same problems but getting no information other than that. Dealership can’t seem to find anything further. This is my first factory order so I wasn’t sure if this is to be expected

Your car will come in to Grimsby. From memory there's a few boats each week between Emden and Grimsby. I guess you just have to sit it out. If its any concelation waited nearly 5 months for my sportback last year. BTW the tracker can be slow to update.

The tracker can take a while to catch up I think.
Mine was status 39 on 13th April, status 40 on 17th April & status 70 on 18th April so going off that it should be at the dealership now.

Dealer has just told me that Audi have said they are doing additional QC checks (At the docks??) and there is no chance I'll see the car before May!
Extended QC.... I would inspect the car with a fine tooth comb. I had to rejected my car that went through Extended QC, it arrived with bodywork damage and the dealership made a mess of the repair so a new A3 was ordered....
For the guys above who have taken delivery recently, did your order have the tech pack included?
I've been told that there is a recall/regulatory issue with the antenna booster that is part of the phone box and that is why the cars are being held!

Interesting! I haven’t been given this information! But would explain the delay on my order which has tech pack included. Going into the dealership this evening so I will mention this issue.
Yes Gringolion - I couldn't pick it up yesterday because of this recall - collecting tomorrow morning now though, talk about painful!!!
Apparently all tech pack cars were on immediate hold because of it. A fix was introduced yesterday so my dealer managed to sort it quick time.

Your build will actually start this week on Wednesday, if the tracker updates as it should you get the first 3 build stages (status 22/23/24) in before your actual build week. By Sunday your car should be in QC - status 30
