that is exactly what I have used already and what i mean when i say fuse spur.
I will swap out the second 5a and put in a 3a tonight
haha funilly enough I am a registered engineer! just in IT infrastructure/networking, so confident wiring in general, just dont have that extra electrician knowledge that you clearly do

One of these. You need to use it the right way around so that the live wire in the fuse holder is on the left hand spur as you look at it. From memory, that's the right hand pin in the fuse holder but it's been a year since I installed mine. If you don't get this right, you end up having the power for both fuses running through the main fuse (the lower of the 2 fuses in that picture). Best would be to find someone with a multimeter and switch the car on to see which side is live.

BTW: also a degree educated electronics engineer...

Haha yes thankyou, they are the correct way around, and my own multi meter works just fine. Just had it in my head you couldnt mix different amp fuses which dippy has cleared up

True, but of course as long as the spur fuse is rated lower this wouldn't be an issue. In my installation the locations I chose were such that I couldn't have the adaptors facing the same way because of physical interference. So if Audi have the fuse panels wired the same, then one of my dashcam feeds is running via the main circuit fuse as well as its own.

Still settling, will add pictures soon but is already lower with the shocks and spring combo than the pictures I have seen with the springs alone.

H&R sport springs (35mm chasis drop)
Billstein B8 Shocks (30mm-40mm lowered suspension)
20mm Spacers each corner

Slightly bouncy at first but done a good 200 miles on them so far and is now not too dissimilar to standard, but I can feel the road a bit more and has barely any body roll on country bends (this is where i noticed the most difference! )

Also discovered S mode quite by accident! errrmaaageeerrdd suddenly the engine is alive and get to hear some over run I like this allot!

EMP made a change to the exhaust to remove the drone at normal driving without effecting the sound outside, is more burbly and pleasant to sit at set speeds too. They added little pipe inserts where the exhuast slides on after the cats, just a little cut of pipe that bends in slightly slowing the air flow slightly, but not as much as a silencer slows it down so still better flow (based on how this was all explained to me )
I am adding a layer of dodo MLV and a few sound deadening pads in the boot around the arch and above the mufflers (gonna add about 5kg weight, but I am only 54kg so wont be a big deal for me), i tested the matts alone and the B&O system finally has bass which is so nice to hear again, so will fit it properly when we are set for a dry weekend.

Agree this should be the standard height! so far I have not scraped on and off my driveway hump (this is the standard i judge by) and got over the centre speed bumps where they try make you straddle over, with no scraping either so I am happy this is a practical height nice set of 20 rotors would finish this perfectly for me but I stilll like my 19s

Not far off standard, can feel the road through the steering more, but to sit in is really nice and as comfortable as before, still as solid without becoming harsher, I think that is down to the shortened Bilstein B8 shocks fitted at the same time though (meant for suspension lowered 30-40mm), as I had read people complaining it was back breaking after they fitted the 35mm H&Rs alone.. they was all on standard s5 shocks, so decided it was worth forking an extra 500 to try retain the comfort and so glad I did as I think this has just made it. and on a really possitive note, the country roads I can give more welly and find it hard to get any boatyness, where as before as standard I felt it was a little bit heavy sided in the corners.

Really wanted rear carbon S badges without removing the chrome, but they dont seem to exist, so i braved a £1 sheet if carbon wrap and knife to the boot last night, pretty hay with it

Did start with over laying, but this got too rough looking when i cut around the letters.

So ditched that idea, peeled it off, and peeled off the red sticker (no return at this point) so that i could use it as a template and just cut with scissors.

Will blend in nicely with the rear ring delete and gloss wrapped diffuser which I plan to do now the weather has improved enough to enjoy being outside working on her

Tonight I will be sorting the sound deadening pads in the boot floor finally!

added some sound deadening pads to absorb the panel resinance, just tapped around the panels to find the offending sections, padded, re knocked untill everything sounded solid, didnt actually need much of the metal pads to achieve this which is a relief as they are heavy, I have a layer of decouple Mass loaded vinyl under the carpet above whats shown in the pictures, but i need to fabric glue this to the underside of the carpet to give it a professional finish, currently it is just cut to size and places but functional! pictures when it looks legit

and the result for the drone? 80% improvement! omg my blessed ears are very happy, i hear the nice burble and no loud cabin filling boom, I can sit at 40 now and hear no drone, which is a relief as since i had the exhaust done i have had to drop gears when ever the drone kicks in.

must admit I didn't expect much from it, pleasantly surprised, not keen on the weight though so dont plan to add more unless the decat down the line reintroduces drone
and yes the bass is now a thing! i hated the stereo as found the a4 bose miles basier than the B&O in the s5, i definately prefer bass to clarity on a trade off choice. huge difference.

The above is the 2 items,I actually used 2 and a bit of the mlv matts which blocks the sound, and the pads stop the resonance, on their own don't do much so need to have both for th results you want

@arad85 sorry i was off work and couldnt get the pics up via mobile last week, so a little delayed but here now.
I havent cut the MLV strips for the side but will be the same level when i do, got the fabric glue spray now so just need a spare hour or 2 to take it all out again to glue it down properly to the carpet underside. I will also neaten the edges, vinyl rubber layer is cut clean with the stanely, but the foam looks rough currently

Thanks Meemo. Everything arrived today. Drove home with the MLV just laid over the carpet in the boot. Definitely quieter - everything is now more muffled, but no change in the sound envelope which is what I think I expected. Although it is quieter, it (not surprisingly) quietens everything which I'm not so keen on. Will investigate the stick-on pads once I have some time and some reasonably nice weather

I'll probably MLV the underside of the floor where it fits rather than all the way - it looks like your floor is now raised due to the MLV underneath it towards the back. Is that right? Anyway, for the cost (£45) it's a big change.

I’ve got some serious resonance at 1900rpm and 3500rpm, ordered some pads. Reckon that’ll do it? It’s mind numbing at high acceleration, but don’t want to lose any sound at other rpm’s as it sounds tasty!

Yeah it is raised, only noticeable as I hadnt dont the sides and only laid the centre at this point, whole floor will lift up a little but evenly so wont be noticeable.

everywhere i looked when reading up/researching, said you wont get a big difference from doing only 1, that you need the mlv for sound waves, and the pads to absorb the panel resonance, sound waves and panel resonance combined create the boom in the cabin. I did used the mlv for a few months on its own, and it wasnt till i added the pads with it that I found it was a proper solution.
I still hear all the burble and grunt so I am happy, it is much quieter inside but definitely still a loud exhaust, however it is now not embarrassing if I take work colleges to site, I didnt feel the need to apologise taking a work colleague yesterday which is a first

you have ordered them so fit them and see how you get on, if its not enough get the mlv matts later, you will still hear your exhaust.

headlights adjusted and even checked the Launch control counter, glad to see it's a 0!

Just be careful not to update the software... They have a habit of finding a way to disable the cables!

BTW: just installed my SilentCoat. Not been out in the car yet, but will report back (MLV now under the floor rather than on top of it too).

@arad85 let us know how you get on, make sure it's the solid layer on the bottom for the mats, I flipped mine over and found it really loud again till flipping then back over.

I'd say that the sound inside the car is now cleaner (i.e. nicer) but overall louder (but then I have moved the mats under the liftable bit where they did cover the whole of the boot floor previously. The "it's quieter" comment from yesterday seems to be at certain rpm's which you generally stay at during tootling around town.

I'm still smooth side up but under the removable bit. I did have the mats smooth side up over the whole of the boot on top of the boot floor. I suspect it is quieter as there's more noise deadening when the mats are covering the whole of the boot floor rather than just under the central section. The mats are not cut in any way, so are just placed there for the moment.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the change. More burble is how I'd describe it too, the sound is just "cleaner"...

If they arent too permenantly fitted, flip them over with the rubber smooth side down, it made a noticeable difference, honestly baffled how it makes a difference atall but give it ago
I only flipped them hard side up because i helped someone move and didnt want to damage the soft side, otherwise i wouldn't of noticed there is a audible difference.
