Firstly, I apologise for starting a new thread when there are already at least two which have been running for some time...
This here 2017 2.0TFSI Sportback - which I've had since December 2016 - was ordered with the Audi Sound System, but came without the subwoofer control it should have had. Over the past 18 months I've spoken to the closest dealer (and had the car in there for 'investigation') and to Audi customer services, and kept tabs on what others have had to say on the threads already in existence.
A conversation with the service manager at Hereford Audi a few minutes ago has prompted me to have another crack at sorting this out.
And this is where I'd appreciate some help from someone on here who has had their missing subwoofer control rectified by an update.
Thing is, Hereford Audi cannot find anything at all which relates to this problem on their system. There's absolutely nothing to suggest that they haven't had a proper look - it's just that they've drawn a blank.
And it wasn't just a vehicle-specific search using my car's VIN either - they looked everywhere they could think of to look.
We (the service chap and I) came to the same conclusion; if they knew the part number of the SD card that was used by other dealers to succesfully update the MMI on similarly affected cars, and the name of the dealership that performed the update, they could have another look.
Thing is, they can't find anything at all regarding B&O-equipped cars with missing subwoofer controls either.
So if anyone is able to let me know the part number of the update card - or could point me to where I might find out - then I'd be extremely grateful.
And I'm more than happy to phone the service department of any dealer who has performed this update to see if they can either tell me or tell Hereford Audi.
This isn't a massive deal in the overall scheme of things, but it really would be nice to have the knob I should have had all these months.
Thanks.
