My A5 Small improvements

managed to acquire some door cards with the Extended LED Interior Lighting for my A4. They all have black LED light modules.
they where connected to the same door control modules as i have on my car 8WO959593A.
my car doesnt have side assist or extended lighting i just have the standard Sline LED Interior Lighting Pack.

is there a way to code them to work in colour? or worst case scenario to have them working at least in white

thoughts guys please?
it will take some time but it should be possible.

Excellent if you can find a code I owe you a drink
You need an autoscan of a car that has the extended light pack. And adaptions channel list of module 09 and 5f of that car.

Today I removed the centre console trims I covered in Alcantara for the correct rotor grey ones.

I actually really like the look of the grey too, looks really smart Dave, well done mate :thumbs up:

Why are your cup holder lights white though?

Thanks it’s like having a new car:) I only have the standard white led lighting.
I found out that one of the settings you gave me disabled the memory and easy entry
So adaptation drivers seat 0x10 needs to be active
And drivers seat 0x10 msg bus needs to be cab 4

I think it’s close to working the MMI part but somthing just not coded 100%

Did you find anything on the Ross Tech links I sent you Dave? If you can get the adaptions downloaded i'm happy to take a look :)

The Coupe already has Memory seats. You just have to code it in and add the buttons if you want.

Ahh excellent! Trying to decide what to do next - memory seat buttons, red calipers or carbon atlas inlays (bit too expensive so might never happen).

You can differ installation of the buttons and just live with the memory seats and easy entry/exit functionality. The memory seats will just work depending on which key is used in the car.

Don't worry Simon, its easy enough to put back together if you go wrong :)

This is probably the first thread I have read from post 1. Excellent mods @dark and @Audidave69 , you guys have way more patience/tech knowledge than I could muster.

:icon thumright: Thanks I think I do the small improvements but @DarkyUK does the large scale improvements :racer:

There is something in 09 about lin bar settings too one of mine is ticked but two diferent options.

Do we know where the S5 seats are available? I love the Red ones, would love them in my A5 :)

:frown new:I know someone who has sportback S seats in red for sale

It's just the wiring piece everything else I'm ok with

There is only one wire that is a splice I believe, two pins into empty slots that are on the BCM and one to a ground connector which is below the BCM. Its daunting when you look at the BCM connectors but when you unplug one and slide the connector out its not too bad.

Just got theses bad boys from Germany today, fitted and coded, they are very easy to fit.
Had them on my last car and missed them dimming.

I'm struggling, you have a few bits to go still though!
I have a very long way to go to catch you up, but it’s giving me something to aim for :)
Just been told my missing pla sensor has gone missing in the post :(

Thats a ******, hope they are sending you another one express?

No they only had one, and they now say it’s parcel company’s fault so have to wait 28 days for it to turn up then if not I will be entitled to a refund, I ordered the dimming mirrors from Germany same day as pla sensor and they are in fitted and working, just going to order one from Audi tomorrow.

The dimming wing mirror glasses are awesome, when we installed mine we upgraded the firmware on one of the door controllers to try and solve a strange issue with the rear drivers door (windows control was inverted, up was down and down was up) and it undid the coding for the dimming mirror glass, was really obvious on my drive home, kept getting dazzled in the drivers wing mirror but not the passenger one.

I think they are great, not cheap (new) but great!

Very small but effective modification
