S3 will be missed but not the £60pw on fuel haha.
Had saloons before but for now hatchbacks are better for the buggies and bikes.

Looks lovely Barry. Hope you enjoy driving it. Couldn’t you put your charger through the letterbox? (I know it’s a typical woman reply) I was just saying lol. :) x

Considering a curpa for my next lease the prices are excellent

Whats your experiences with it? Does it work well as a daily driver?

First impressions are good, smooth, quiet ride. Not as crashy over the bumps compared to the S3. Seem-less change from petrol to electric, so much so that you would hardly notice it apart from the needle on the Rev counter dropping down to a ready position. Sit a lot higher on the road and has a ****** of a blind spot at the A post (see pic). Nice place to sit and seats are comfy and supportive with adjustable electric side bolsters, still trying to find the right position though. It’s got a bit of poke but not really pushed it yet. Space in the back is good, maybe a wee bit bigger than the S3, boot is a good bit bigger though. Missing the Apple CarPlay though, wasn’t able to spec it unfortunately. Can still Bluetooth Apple Music which I would normally play on shuffle, but you can’t skip tracks from the steering wheel only from a button on the radio!! Ambient light strips on the front and rear doors are a nice touch (orange or white only) hadn’t realised they were standard.
Only 100miles in so early days yet but with my sensible head on I can see the financial benefits, however my petrolhead is crying out for pops and bangs .

How does it feel performance wise, nippy with the EV motor?

Think it’s 6.7 to 60 so it’s quick but doesn’t really feel it. Might be cause there’s no real noise like the S3. Still running it in, so not really blasted it properly yet.

I've just spec'd one of those on the BMW configuration site with metallic paint, adaptive cruise, folding mirrors and Harmon Kardon and it came out at a shade under 40K!

Would never buy one new, 6 month old ones can be had for £25-£30k.
Mine came in at £37,300 but only got it as the lease was very cheap.

Granted it seems to have a decent spec standard that's assuming yours is the premium version.

I hope when the new 1 series comes out they do a hybrid version of that, if they do that's my next car.

Yeah it’s premium spec, however it doesn’t appear to have heated mirrors as standard! First world problems eh! Lol

Agreed 6 month olds can be a steal. My S3 was 6 months old and was about £6k cheaper than a new one of the same spec.
