DA Polishing over Ceramic Coating

I've got a few light scratches on my Navarra blue S3 which i'd like to remove, but the car has cQuartz UK applied to it.

Whats the safest way to remove the scratches from the paint without affecting the ceramic coating too much?

I've got a DA polisher, various pads and Menzerna Medium 2500 compound but happy to get another compound if needed

This might be a stupid question, but can you use a clay bar on the ceramic coating without stripping it?

this is why i never wanted ceramic coating. I have no issues with using my da polisher, the equipment and supplies are mine. the ceramic coating is theres and i have nothing in my hand when i depart the detailer. You paid a fair quid for the work so dont mess it up. i feel for you

I applied the ceramic coating myself so I have some left. I think I'll just polish it and re-apply the ceramic coating. I've got a genuine Audi bumper film kit to fit so that might help with scratches in the future

I'd get some panel cleaner first and try that, something like Gtechniq panel wipe or 3M and see if that removes the ceramic coating and then polish and reapply coating.

Clay barring won’t remove a ceramic costing so you have no worries there, how deep are the scratches?

They were some minor ones on the back bumper, I couldnt feel them with my nail. I ended up using the DA on the bumper and re-applying the ceramic coating as I still have half the bottle left. Ended up re-doing the bonnet and front wings whilst I had the DA out due to etching on the bonnet and a minor scuff on the front wing

But for future, is there a better way to deal with minor scratches (i.e. ones you can't feel) when a ceramic coating is applied?
