Morning all.

Just purchased a very well kept late-2016 S1 and thought I'd say hello.

Coming from two Skoda Fabia vRSs (Mk1 & MK2) this is a decent step-up and looking forward to gleaning owner knowledge & tips etc.

Car is Sepang Blue with quite a few Dealer-fitted options as it was their then-demo vehicle.

Best

Lovely colour and rare ish as Audi stopped it as a standard colour after a while eg if you wanted it after that it was a £2.5k option.

TX.

Welcome Southern S1 - looks very nice, I have a Sprint Blue S1, looks very similar :) So what extras does it have?

Very pretty indeed, I had fabia VRS mk1 before my S1, loved the Skoda but LOVE the S1 more, mine is the same colour but is the Fastback version :icon thumright:

Different strokes for different folks I suppose :thumbs up:, A few other extras in mine too, love the Bose surround sound !!!

It has the Bose sound system, auto lights & wipers, gas discharge headlamps and LED tailamps, auto-dimming interior mirror, part-leather upholstery and rear parking sensors. Folding mirrors would have been handy but certainly weren't a deal-breaker considering the other options fitted. The sat-nav is not activated but I'm really not bothered about that as I have an almost-new TomTom Go 6200.

I believe some were part of a pack but I'm still new to the Audi universe!

Sounds very nice, as long as I've not forgotten anything mine has Quatro exterior pack, Satnav, Bose, Cruise control, Auto dim interior mirror, Centre arm rest, Heated front seats, Front and rear park assist and according to the spec sheet the rear mats were an extra too lol. I may be wrong but I think standard spec includes Hid headlights, Led rear lights, Part leather seats, Auto lights and wipers, Drive select, All round electric windows and probably a canny bit I've missed. I too would have liked the folding mirrors and have considered adding them but even second hand parts are pricey !

Looks like a great spec, with some nice useful extras.. Mine is filled with extras which frankly I would not have paid for if I was buying new.. I calculated it back to factory, I am sure the first owner spent in excess of £9k on extras!! or it could have been a demo car.. my extras listed below: below..

Fine Nappa Super Sport Seats
Heated front seats
Audi Exclusive Paint - Sprint Blue
18" star design wheels
Comfort Pack
Technology Pack
Design Pack
Bose surround
Advanced Key
Auto dimming mirror
High beam assist
Front armrest (useless)
Door Mirrors folding
High Gloss Black styling
Privacy Glass
Audi parking System plus
Audi Hill-hold Assist
Flat bottom steering wheel..

Mine has the flat bottom wheel also, forgot to put that on my little list, if given the choice I think I would have stuck with the round one

Just need to add to my list...

Cruise control, centre arm rest (yep, pretty pointless!), high beam assist and rear privacy glass.

As mentioned, that all adds up to a significant sum so it’s fortunate the dealer & first owner took the hit for them.

A recent addition has been a genuine Audi Sport rear number plate holder/surround as I can’t bear having a plate with holes drilled in it.

Funny, as an armrest would be useful in an auto, but then gets in the way of the handbrake, such a bad design by Audi!

My favourite extras right now is the design pack, which includes the panoramic roof, which lets in lots of light and nice when the sun comes out.. Also love that this little car has cruise control, so handy for speed control roadworks! Advanced key is ok, however I keep flicking the key out to put it into the barrel and there isn't one, I do this every time...

I do like flat bottom steering wheel, pretty much had it on every Audi I have owned.. I think over time I may just change the badges to black, as it has black styling pack and maybe some spacers, as Audi do love to tuck those wheels well in the arches...

I quite like my armrest, but again different strokes for different folks, wish mine had the panoramic roof but I don't think they are an option in the fastback, never wanted advance key as I'm scared of these relay devices the thieving scumbags are using. I too fancied some wheel spacers but got warned not to as apparently they can upset the driveshafts ??? Love the cruise control in average speed monitored roadworks as it means you can pay full attention to the road rather than your speed.
