What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Have you painted these pistons?

Just to point out that, if you have painted them then your going to potentially damage your engine very quickly. They need to be bare aluminium against the cylinder wall to allow the oil to lubricate them. When they get hot mixed with oil the paint will turn into a paste and very quickly wear the piston and bore out!

If they have been professionally coated in some sort of protective/slippery coating then pleas ignore my raving!

Lol, no not paint, they have been to camcoat for skirts and crowns work

Stopped procrastinating and ordered some pads for the 18z upgrade

My starter engine stopped working yesterday, so I pulled out the starter, tore it apart and gave it a nice clean even though it was the solenoid that was broken. It was dirty as hell! Then took a Touran starter down from the shelf and stole the solenoid from it, almost a perfect match, just had to swap over the original piston.
Works like a dream!

Replaced the headlight to get it at least fairly road legal...

Meanwhile I’ve found out this mother Hubbard of a sheep has also damaged the slam panel.

So that’s - bonnet, wing, bumper, headlight and slam panel.... any advice on how to remove all the associated parts would be greatly appreciated.

I should have killed it - slowly roasted it and eaten the Little ****** as payback.

That's right..... but it highlighted other problems with my engine once I'd changed the water pump. So now it's getting a full rebuild and all new parts.
Total cost of parts thus far are approximately £700

Not much too them really, i repair light damage like this day in day out all nuts and bolts luckily. The bumpers are easy to remove, there's probably some vids on youtube.

All easy about 11 bolts in wing 2 at bottom will maybe need side skirt removing partially
Front bumper is 4x10mm nuts 4x13mm bolts under front tray 4xtorx in each inner arch 3xtorx along front and 2 awkward torx’s at side of headlights
I’ve just broke my A4 B7 2 wings front bumper crash bar and radiator pack I still have if needed

New rear washer installed, hose pipe zip tied in so as not to move and the connection sealed with silicon. Hopefully that stops the liytle. ****** leaking and sending electrical Gremlins round the car.

I managed to pick up a dolphin grey bonnet, wing and slam panel for £160... but the wing is a bit bubbly with rust so will need some attention. What colour is yours?

It wasn't actually today (but Monday) - I stuck a new set of wheels & tyres on the old bus. Kinda like the result. Now I can get the original Ronals refurbed. Got a pic - it was kinda dark & raining so not the best, but you get the idea.....

yes it’s very different, but I like the more minimalistic style of it, I think the A4 one is too big.

Swapping the rear wiper to Q5 style and fitting new front wiper arms was one of the first things I did when I got the car, thought the original rear was a bit too much plastic.

Kept the original so can always change it back if I change my mind, still prefer the Q5 version for now.

All down to personal choice chaps, I prefer the original arm myself, Q5 item just looks like someone has fitted a wiper blade that is too long for the arm, just my input.

Hi again - I was an engineer on the (then) Decca (Later RACAL) Pulse 8 navigational transmitting chain that had two stations in Norway & one in Denmark (plus others dotted around the North Sea to provide full coverage).
This was the primary position fixing system used by Oil rigs to locate precisely over drilling sites. All long before GPS (which I also had a lot to do with when it was first introduced as a development from the American Military system. I bet no-one reading even knows what I'm talking about........
However, I spent time at the stations at Maloy in Northern Norway & on the island of Utsira in the South as well as on the Island of Romo off the coast of Denmark. Happy days & Oh so long ago........
