Need a new sub forum Audi RS3 8Y Just for me, cos i have no friends

Deposit On and on a list for One of the first RS3 Saloon 8Y (if thats its official title) ( sure i read it somewhere),
So just like everyone here that has patiently gone through the process .
the waiting starts as of today with an official down payment and an invoice for the deposit amount
Just got to wait for the official specs and pics
im thinking 18 Months ish to finally get in 1

It's that time of the year... Congrats on the purchase mate. Will create one and move your thread there as well

Indeed it is 8Y.
Was on Erwin online the other day and there are repair instructions for the base new models available.

I’m sure lots on here will be really interested to see and hear your experience with the latest RS3, can’t wait but not as much as you I bet!!

Its only been a few hours and im like an excited child waiting for Christmas Possibly 2021
Need to get over myself
Gonna be a long long wait

I couldn't wait a year for the next gen Golf R so my waiting game must be so weak if you are looking at Christmas 21 Jeez

Dont think it will be as long as Christmas 2021 but will know soon im sure
its been 1 year since i joined this forum 27/06/19
its flown by when i first asked about the new RS3

Congrats on ordering your new car. I will create a new sub section at some point this weekend.

Congrats on the commitment I am sure many more will follow at some point, it is an RS after all. Any thoughts on colour and spec you are planning on? I see you did mention fully loaded on the other thread, wonder if there will be a vorsprung Edition or probably pack related options mainly

A bit ambitious of me to say fully loaded as i would never track it so the ceramics and the speed limiter delete are a bit pointless,
but the rest of the options would be stuck on ,if only for me to say they are there, even if these are even more pointless
Colour would be my biggest option, there may be a few more added to the swatch to look at, although any greys/silvers wont be on my wish list
love the 3 /4 greens / blues, Black or white
will have an e-mail on Monday regarding a confirmed build slot apparently, obviously not a date and what this means i have no clue
can only order an A3 from July 1st so where the RS will be in the grand scheme of things , i have no clue

Congrats on securing a slot for the new RS3. I think this will be a great car, so I’m sure you can’t wait for it to develop.

About a year/ 18 months of no sleep will need a hearse for me at that rate LOL

So how does this actually work, do you just walk in and ask to put a deposit on a vehicle that doesn’t exist as yet, and then some time in the next 18 months you get to pick some options and negotiate a price?

Do they still build to order for you? Trying to get my head around it as may end up doing something similar down the track.

I called as couldn’t go in
Registered an interest on a new rs3
Paid a deposit for the car which was £1000 refundable which in turn booked me an early/ first build slot
Nearer the time or when it’s revealed they will call me in to spec up the said car and use that order I did in June for its build slot
So basically I should be 4months into it before anyone else can
That’s the theory
If anyone gets one before me apart from the press and showrooms I will tell em to sling there hook
Lol
