Tracker Advice

I am due to pick up a fully loaded C8 Vorsprung on the 30th.

Does anyone have any good experience or recommendations with a tracker. I want to get one installed?

Any advice or recommendations massively appreciated.

I have the original Tracker fitted to my S7. Been faultless since it’s install, and they now have a useful app.

You can find their product info at tracker.co.uk

I have their Cat S5 Plus with drivers tag, and buy subscriptions for 3 years at a time.

Not the cheapest, but the best, and can be tracked by any uk police force when triggered.

You can often find deals on the units on eBay. The subscription you can only get from Tracker.

I've got a C7 RS6 performance 2016 & have a tracker on it. Was around £300.00 fitted by the dealer & £12.00 a month to subscribe etc. I also have a stoplock pro for the steering wheel.
Nice car by the way so i would get one fitted.

Thanks, yeah no doubt it is leaving with a tracker on it. Look at options between cat S5 and S7. Whatever it costs ends up being money well spent.

I'm an ex-Tracker employee as software developer who worked on their various range of products including their Tracker Touch app which makes things super simple to use, things were made pretty solid back then and that's as far as I could recommend, and things over there has changed quite significantly, their parent company sold them to another American based company and I honestly haven't been in touch eversince but I still do believe in their product being as rock solid compare to their competitors.

I have just had one fitted in the dealership by a private vodaphone installer for a Vodaphone Protect and Connect S5 Plus CAT 5 as required by my insurers 899 notes installed including 1st year subs.

Once police have eyeball it will be immobilised remotely

Yeah dealership quoted me similar and the lad is a mate of mine.

Got a quote on a Scorpion Cat 5 plus with remote immobilisation bundled up with a Ghost Immobiliser for just over £1100.

Weirdly my insurance hasn't insisted on anything which I find odd as feck!

i contemplated the ghost immobiliser but concluded if there is a confrontation that turns noisy they can have the car and the Police and Vodaphone can do the rest.

My insurers said as over 75K it was compulsory and I have to give them a certificate of installation to prove it.

Direct Line - I figured the ghost solution would potentially cause me to be foolhardy and resist whereas the sensible thing in a confrontation is walk and let them have it knowing it can be tracked and immobilised remotely - it can always be replaced and given the quality of my golf game, they can have the clubs too!

Yeah way my game is they would be doing me a favour. I'm with Admiral been since 99. Direct line were 400 quid more. Churchill quoted me 11k over 10k more than Admiral!

How many people out of say 35m car owners get in to a dust up with car thieves? Most will try to take the car then bug out within minutes if no joy. Tbf with Ghost mostly the car just won't start so could just be broken down as far as a thief is concerned.
