Blimey is that the going rate, £850? What make is that?
We've just bought an "as new" Bosch for £250, it's just sitting under the carport at the moment until we get out old F/F out.
£850 was the sale price. They wanted £1400 originally!! No way I would have paid that!

It’s an LG. It is huge, full size fridge and freezer with a digital screen on the front with temperature control and water/ice dispenser etc

And when those big fridges go wrong , you just need to sit down and accept the shock at the repair bills.
Been there myself and wont make the same mistake again.
I’m a refrigeration engineer by trade so could probably fix it myself.

Used to go all over the country installing big air conditioning systems, chillers, air handling units, cold rooms, walk in freezers etc.

Got old and work in an office now though ha ha

You can fix my wine cooler then Dan, it's not cool any more.:sob:

Ha! Now you know how we feel in the US. We always manage to fill the fridge too. It was a shock when we moved to England and saw the smaller fridge. Made shopping very interesting.

Honestly with the fridges most of the time it's just the motherboard or the ice machine that goes bad. Beyond that they're pretty reliable and those are relatively simple fixes.

Well, not so much what have done today, more like over the last 3 weeks.
On my way home a couple of weeks back my EPC warning light came on so called in into see the guy that service's my car, plugged it in came back possible throttle body issue.
Over the next few days, the light was on and off.
So I get the call saying yep ya need a new one :sorry: not good :disrelieved::disrelieved::disrelieved::disrelieved: and 4 new tyres so its been a very very expensive few weeks :disrelieved:

Today mostly I have bricked my dash playing with vagdashcan going to put the rs4 dash in tomorrow and see if the saved file will reinstate the immobiliser . Fingers crossed if not got to tow car home and get my mate to try and reset with his vag com !!

Just steam cleaned my intake manifold, in situ.
I litre of potassium hydroxide mix/steam straight up through the ASV for 30 mins, 2000rpm, warm engine.
I didn't have anything coming out of the exhaust, unlike many videos I've seen, not sure if it's a good thing or not.
Did it work? I have absolutely no idea. But was a damn sight cheaper than paying a company to do a carbon clean with what amounts to water, and a scan.

Lesson learnt do not try to reprogram instrument cluster by your self . I have fuxkup big time . Now it appears I have blanks original dash and the replacement RS4 B7 dash . I have no idea how to repair it . Cars now stuck at GF house . Swapped the dash over and it goes into safe mode tried to read it and immobiliser has incorrect numbers . Time to get specialist on the case with vagcom I think oh and another dash

Such a good looking motor Alex!

@Pie-eyedpiper they're easy enough once you've done it once. Half the battle is learning where everything else to remove

Installed my new (old) MFSW today, got it pretty cheap so it got a few marks here and there that I’ll try to work on. Waiting for the new wiring loom and slip ring before I can code it, already got the correct comfort module so that’s a positive.

thanks but I’ll stick to this wheel, but if you got the pinout for adding the multi function connector to the wiring loom myself I would appreciate that

One new steering knuckle, two front wheel bearings, new brake hoses and new track rod ends.
Coolant system next on the list, there is a small leak from rear coolant flange and think thermostat might be on the way out so might be good time to get that done too.

My new front control arm kit arrived today and also some more new caliper link pipes too. The new valve cover gasket is in the post aswell

That's awesome! Wish I had space in the man cave for one of them mortal combat as well, mrs would never see me, my last bit of space was just taken up by the motorbike, felt bad leaving her out in the rain all she does is make me money so least I could do lol.

Any regrets now you've had the car de-ambered for a while Alex?

No actually im very happy with the upgrade. Looks much cleaner and takes years off the car. Those osram bulbs are super bright too. Im glad i didn't black out the inner chrome too, i think they would look too dark for my liking.

The clear corner mod is such a worthwhile one, a shame it was'nt standard from the start of B7 production still just another Audi thing, really does take years of the car, glad you like the look Alex. :thumbs up:

The Xenon's look so good. I was put off getting a set due to the price of them... but I think I need some haha

Where did you come across those fella, a nice little useful upgrade.

Thanks mate, yeah will be handy for my daughter sitting in the back.

I've been after some for a while and luckily enough some popped up on eBay so had to snap them up.
