Quite a teaser at the end. What’s the story. I would imagine you have rejected your car or Audi have replaced it. Which Vorsprung spec is it?

Lol the which vorsprung spec was totally unintentional! (Trust my only realised when the comments around the s3 flooded in ...doh)

It's an A3 same engine as before.

I fortunately did not have to reject, the broker came through for us so we ended up selling the car back to Audi for the same price we paid.

We were then given the chance to have exactly the same car, but the vorsprung was due so we decided to hold off and pay the small difference

You're absolutely right!. I guess I tend to get emotionally attached to my cars and even though we knew for a few months this one was going back - it kind of just hit home when I was putting that video together.

We never expected for our videos to be enjoyed by many - and it being one of the first saloon edition1 specs in the country and on YouTube - I got bit sentimental on that front (I know man up! Lol)

On the face of it though! Not too sad as the replacement is awesome

Hopefully more fun videos coming soon.

After 3 and a half years Nope l was glad when it eventually went .....onwards and upwards i am moving on to a far better car the op is jumping to another 8Y?is he not after only 6 month's or so of ownership is his reason for selling on based on the promotion of his YouTube channel well the 8Y aint the right car for this purpose as its not that hot on youtubers lists to pull in more subs/views always been the same .....on YouTube with the 8V/A3/S3/RS3
Or was it the case he rejected the car...for all its problems only to replace it with another ?

Haven't even really driven the car yet lol.

Timelines were as follows:

I'd love to say I purchased it for youtube, but the reality is I would have bought the car if it existed when we first ordered it back in July.

It was just a simple case of the original car not having the electric seats I ordered. The broker stepped in to resolve it (no rejection needed) , simple part exchange. Fortunately during this time the vorsprung become available to order.

Based on my edition 1 spec (which had a lot of extras) , the vorsprung is a whole lot more for the small £1k difference that it cost.

I still love the car and think its fantastic (my opinion of course, not fact). If I felt any differently I would have point blank asked for the money back.

Looking forward to pics of your new TT - its due soon right?

This one was ordered in December, built in January, sat at the port of exit through Feb and March and finally delivered yesterday.

From what I've observed the dates seem to vary on the dealer who placed the order. Mine was Audi Lincoln (maybe they process more orders than others, I'm unsure)

I always thought the Edition 1 was the best choice of all the model designations the Vorsprung A3 and S3 have the larger non flat bottom steering wheel which l dislike a lot but the Vorsprung alloys are very nice and more importantly a new design, the drivers assistance pack is of no interest to me just some of the points that stopped me ordering a 8Y S3 Vorsprung. Anyway....what colour have you gone for Tango Red ??
Oh my TT the longer it takes to arrive the better enjoying not having to pay car insurance car payments etc etc and they're still gritting the roads up around my way
Another first for you and the forum and YouTube the Vorsprung model lol

spot on, I still think the edition1 is the best value - but by the time we added the panoramic roof and side assist functions it became a no brainer upgrading.

Totally agree on the flat bottom, I liked it a lot, but the airbag being round - stuck out like a sore thumb amongst the straight lines in the interior.

Sadly didn't go for red, played it safe - I've had red (and also yellow) cars in he past, so this one needed to be a bit more everyday. (Daytona Grey again) - boring I know :)

yeah eager to show you guys whats included! hopefully will post the walk around video soon.

Your TT is a vorsprung too right? has it got the older MMI system (the latest ones are the work of the devil - haha)

Lol - buying a car is like looking at houses - there is always another one tempting you to stretch the budget a little more:sob:.

I ended up getting £7k off my TTRS last June albeit at the time there were plenty to chose from existing stock. Would you have you have gone for TTRS if you could the larger discount. After 6 months of living with RS my heart would say get the RS but my head would say get the TTS Vorsprung especially if was going to be my daily driver.

Noticed Audi are doing the A3 40 tdi Quattro now. An edition 1 is tempting, the 40tdi vorsprung is 43k!

Yes l would have gone for the exact same as you had mate but with the blue stitching everywhere extended RS pack...l know for a fact i'll have to fire on a new exhaust to the TTS Vacuum cleaner.......back in Jan £3k was the best discount available on the TTRS Sport Ed av spent £5k on the TTS as it stands right now....on bits and bobs

£43 is mental money for a derv Vorsprung.....be a rare model the Vorsprung Edition on any A3/S3/RS3 as nice as it is....great for gadget lovers though as that's what Audi has thrown at the A3/S3 Vorsprung plus the different alloys....just wish they had offered the different interior coloured stitching though like they've done in Germany/EU

Some nice add-on’s there mate, but will believe the ceramic when you have done it, given your history of:

a) buying ceramic kits and not using them.

b) saying ceramic coatings are waste of time and money.

c) you like to be able to use the DA as and when (which is a fair point)
