Hi all, iv been on and off a few times since owning my car. Mainly for peoples guidance. I'm not usually an active forum person as I'm always busy at work or messing with motors.
So here goes:
I'm Jay, 38, living in Birmingham. I recently changed my car from a 2006 535d m sport to an 2009 A3 1.9tdi convertible. Iv had no regret making the change. As good as the bmw is in every way it was wasted doing 5 minute journeys to work. So in my wisdom to replace it I had to have a convertible and something smaller and cheaper to run. The A3 was a great choice.
Cured a few faults like a split boost pipe seal, and recabled the passenger window regulator.
Fitted the new grill and a new set of wheels. It's in for a remap today as it's it's bit embarrassing when I say it's a 1.9tdi, then whispering and coughing as I say it's 103bhp. Haha.
Iv been a mechanic for a long time and only in the last 2 years I decided to invest in a snap-on diagnostics laptop to fix friends and families modern cars. Iv recently left a truck mechanic position of 4 years to further my engineering knowledge in fabrication and metal work. I own a small unit in Walsall where I keep my mk5 escort cabriolet. Anyway that's me, hopefully a message ping will wake you all up. Jay

That's what I'm getting rid of for my new audi..the old 06 535d msport...had it for 10 years but fell out of love with it a long time ago...its like triggers broom,I've changed everything a few times lol

Mine had full bmw history along with extended arts warranty so lots has been done. But it's just too big a car to sit in the Birmingham City car park. Shame really. Probably the only bmw I'll ever afford to own.

Was never really happy with mine, thirsty around the doors,I went through disc and pads at over £500 a time every year or two..smooth enough and half decent power, nothing special,it was just a pig in a poke I guess
