Not read through the last days posts but see it’s now on the customer configurator.
So am I right in saying the Carbon edition with metallic and comfort pack in £56,745 OTR.
The Vorsprung which has virtually everything is just less than £2k more. So looks relatively very good value?
Of course, “that” steering wheel on the Vorsprung ruins it all(!) but what are everyone else’s thoughts?

Just make peace with the wheel mate ...... then it all falls into place.

Yes the vorsprung comes with everything & the kitchen sink and is by far the best value when you consider everything that is included in the spec.

If you want the enlarged spoilers its Carbon edition only.
You get sports exhaust with carbon BUT if you want mag ride you have to spend £5k on ceramics.
Plus no pano roof, leccy seats, 360 cam, no HUD, power boot etc.
And works out over £3k more than Vorsprung with less equipment ... but you get carbon bits and flat bottom steering wheel.

Unless you aren't bothered about mag ride then you can just spec comfort pack to get B&O and it works out approx £2k cheaper than Vorsprung.
But no pano roof etc as noted.

Vorsprung gives you the regular black spoilers and all the extra kit as standard - just paint colour to choose

Well yet another **** up from Audi IMO. That carbon rear spoiler looks great to me and yet you can’t get it on the top of the range model!

In hindsight I should have. Values on all used cars are up nicely. But I wanted something new. Didn’t realise back when I sold it what disruption there was with car production and the subsequent surge in used car prices.

The last few days the threads have been manic leading up to the configuratior, everyone hyped seeing the car in the Euro spec.
Then here comes the Uk spec and ****** on everyone’s bonfire, mine included.
I would have happily hopped skipped and jumped down to the dealers knowing I’d get no discounts and handed my cash over for the car specced like what other countries are been offered.
Audi have shafted the Uk with this Rs3
The vorsprung looks amazing value for the money…. Not really it’s prob listed at the right price, it only looks good value because of the lack of options on the carbon edition.
They have played a blinder, price on vorsprung then huge mark up on carbon, but just enough for people to think hmmmm for a extra cple of grand I can have all options included, so they pay the extra and Audi get more money, and the ones who like the look of the carbon are paying over the odds. Then they give everyone but the Uk the nice design pack…. And prob give us that in a few years time as a facelift and mark that price up as well.
I was all in but I’ve got a sport edition saloon fully loaded… all driver assist packages and a sports steering that is flat .
I’m keeping my money, and to the Audi executive who had the last word on the UK spec….. your a bit of a c*nt !!

Totally agree I want the standard car as I want the Alu trim but the options for the standard car are dreadful .

Standard Alu trimmed car is the "Sweet Spot" As oor Glen likes to quote" give it time mate pan-roof and a few other options will be isolated hence why the configurator shows them initially as stand alone options prior to ticking the boxes...then resorts to the Vin Diesel pack

I have put my spec in got my monthly payments where I want them to be and only need to make a call to pay the 1k deposit to place the order but
the only thing holding me back is the lack of options . I would kick myself if down the line options I want become available to spec separately so I am no sure what to do .

The lack of interest/ disappointment on this thread alone since the configuratior opened.
I think all rs3 owners who were willing to trade up and new potential buyers who saw all the vids and photos of the European model are *****d off now, I wonder how many are thinking I’m just gonna hang on or not bother.
I wonder if it reflects on Audis sales predictions for this model against say when the 8v facelift or 2019 sport edition was launched

The steering wheel is the one thing that puts me off the Vorsprung after having flat bottom steering wheels for years . I can't believe the design pack is not an option as it really give the interior a lift

Av got a build slot saloon carbon Ed with C&S in Muppet green Edit yes l have indeed my boy ordered me one today.....ye can technically only order one when the configurator is a go go....long wait next June l guess

What spec did you end up going for mate? I think the Alu pack has always looked good on the S and RS models so its a shame that there isn't much flexibility in options - perhaps this is due to the chip shortage so may see this change in the future but no one knows when and if this will happen.

If you don't mind sharing what are your finance terms? would be good to know the GFV aswell to see where they picture the value of these to be in the years to come..

that’s exactly why my plan is get a 5 cylinder now & then spec up the face lift to perfection so I can keep that one indefinitely
