I highly doubt that won't be representative of the RS3. As with any new model, they will want bums in seats as soon as possible. The e-tron gt was the same.Check out the thread on 8Y A3/S3 delivery times for a reality check of how long people have been waiting. It’s not good reading.
The same mantra was uttered by my Salesperson.I highly doubt that won't be representative of the RS3. As with any new model, they will want bums in seats as soon as possible. The e-tron gt was the same.
Your one of the deluded "Bums on seats".....Eh......???I highly doubt that won't be representative of the RS3. As with any new model, they will want bums in seats as soon as possible. The e-tron gt was the same.
Spot onYour one of the deluded "Bums on seats".....Eh......???
Mate you talk some of the biggest ******** on this forum half the time. If you don't like what I have to say then scroll past it, it's not affecting you. Broken record with your constant negativity.Your one of the deluded "Bums on seats".....Eh......???
Not sure why Kyalami would have a longer process, it's a flat colour. I ordered on the 17th, and had a build week from about 4-5 days in. Contact Audi UK on twitter or facebook with your order number and have them check instead. From memory it's a carbon you ordered, so would have expected a build week by now. But in the off chance it's Vorsprung, nobody has build weeks for them yet and wouldn't expect them until December.
You'd think - but out of 29 on a poll on Facebook, Kyalami was the most popular with 12 ordered.Maybe because less common/popular than the black or grey mentioned?

I hope you’re right but I guess we will all know eventually.I highly doubt that won't be representative of the RS3. As with any new model, they will want bums in seats as soon as possible. The e-tron gt was the same.
I also had a jazz blue Gti back in the early 00's all show and no goOr maybe down to certain colours on certain weeks. Watched a vid of the M3 on the line and they were painting each car in a different colour (think it was Schmee’s car on the line). Pretty impressive and think they charge the shell and then paint adheres. But you would think they are all pretty similar as far as mass production goes nowadays.
But does remind me when I was looking to order a GTI in 2001, and was told the silver was week 32 or something, so I went with the jazz blue in stock
You only have to look on the auto trader there is not one S3 Vorspung for sale on there and you could order them way before the Rs3 so that could be a sign of what's to come hope i'am wrong and they start filtering through pretty fast .I’m still of the belief there’s a chance I’ll be in the car before Christmas ... but time will tell. I really hope so as my A45s is still amazingly rising in price

I was also told March/April delivery when I ordered my S3 last November. Got it the very start of January. My dealer has been told by Audi UK cars will arrive from mid February, hence I've been told March 2022 for collection.
Ah yes I remember nowmy friend in the trade ‘who you know’ has already said he wants it
I also had a jazz blue Gti back in the early 00's all show and no go
wouldn't be surprised it is by far the most underpowered car I've ownedThey were awful really. Think is was actually a golf 4 highline or something that VW UK badged the GTI.

Some customer RS3s are in build as we speak according to the 8Y Facebook page. Some members will be along soon to tell me I'm deluded and these people will be no doubt lying.
You like to have a Rant on Fudbook don't ya bad mouthing this forum and implying this forum is corrupt but hey ho ....each to their own Fudbook ain't my bag...You got your 8Y before this world wide car manufacturer crisis went into full swing sane as myself l got my TT just before it all kicked off ....sold yer 8Y yet??? I understand your young and enthusiastic to get a car you couldn't normally afford pre covid....having just got a 8Y S3I was also told March/April delivery when I ordered my S3 last November. Are you of the mindset that RS3 customers who've recently ordered their car should have priority over other Audi customers who've been waiting far far longer?
My son left Audi as have a lot of other folks because of the situation VAG are in....and this applies across the full industry
Believe what you want @S15THM we are entitled to our opinions
By the way
Telling lies and being deluded have totally different meanings
Deluded = misled/over optimistic
I never said your a liar
I never mentioned anything about you calling me a liar at all, you need to read the post again.
I think my personal finances are for me to decide what I can and can’t afford, not for you. The deposit on my RS3 is only a couple of grand more than I put into both my S3s, the very fact the 8Y has held its value has helped me jumped into the RS3 so soon after only having the 8Y for less than a year.
Also, there’s a difference in being entitled to an opinion and shooting someone down the minute they disagree with what you say. Stick to your TT, it suits yer attitude.
From experience, anything up to 4 weeks from leaving factory to arriving at the dealer..but usually 2 weeks. What is a typical build week to on the drive time? I understand things might go slower at the moment but how long does it take to build and ship the car from the build week?

10 to 12 weeks from leaving the factory
Look at the Audi photo from build to delivery l posted boy10 to 12 weeks from leaving the factory to on the drive?
Spot on.We all know that Audi, like every other manufacturer, will quote worst-case scenarios. In reality, most cars from Germany will be at the dealer within 3-4 weeks of build completion.
Some truth in this In "normal times" Brexit and Covid have ****** this up though my car arrived 2 months after it was built almost 6 weeks at the port.... ergoWe all know that Audi, like every other manufacturer, will quote worst-case scenarios. I went to a MK4 Golf V6 4Motion next which at the time was a massive improvement and in the time I had it was a good carReally can’t argue with that mate, awful . I went from that to a 2.5 V6 Audi Allroad
I was torn between a Golf R and the RS3, decided to go RS3 as I think the new Golf R interior and info system are a step backwards from the normal Golf standards.Check out the thread on 8Y A3/S3 delivery times for a reality check of how long people have been waiting. It’s not good reading.
I know someone who cancelled a gti, didn’t realise it was that bad! One thing is for sure nice spec RS3’s will be hot property when they do eventually start coming through.I was torn between a Golf R and the RS3, decided to go RS3 as I think the new Golf R interior and info system are a step backwards from the normal Golf standards.
With Golf the delivery time was 24 weeks on an 'R' and the sales lad said it was 54 weeks on a GTI and yet at one time it was the other way around.
This leads me to believe at the moment with chip shortage etc that VW (and probably Audi) allocate 'x' amount of a certain model to be built at a certain time, If you 'miss' the next 'reduced batch build' numbers you will go to the next batch which will be around a year
So my guess is with RS3 you will either get your car within approx 6 months if you ordered early enough or around a year if you missed the first batch.
PS:................Just my theory at the moment
