yes ive seen that in the build your audi, i dont have the vorsrung version only the edition 1, shame though as everything else on my car is blackShould the Vorsprung not come with black badges , it’s in the configurator that it does .
if its for the front it wont fit, all the ones ive seen are 270+ mm i measured my badge and its around 240+ mmi got 8v black badge wich is cheaper then 8y and will have tomorrow grill to test it
I checkif its for the front it wont fit, all the ones ive seen are 270+ mm i measured my badge and its around 240+ mm
They wont fit rear boot its curved not flat like 8vyes they push in from the front and push through to the back and clip in, the badge is very soild'ly clipped in, i broke the old badge up to get it off, any kind of leverage to get the badge off would of definitly bent out the grill surround, as for the back i ordered mine from ultimate customs, https://www.ultimatecustomsuk.com/products/audi-rear-black-badges?_pos=2&_sid=87f9863f5&_ss=r, to be honest because its stuck on you can use any size badge i guess, i'd prefer a smaller badge if i had of thought about it earlier, lots of sticky to get off, and yes the badge is 1922 x 68.
depends if you have the sport back or not they make 2 different ones, mine was fine that i got from ultimate customs. They wont fit rear boot its curved not flat like 8v
Right xDdepends if you have the sport back or not they make 2 different ones, mine was fine that i got from ultimate customs.
Did you get the flat 192mm one, not the curved one, for the rear ?yes they push in from the front and push through to the back and clip in, the badge is very soild'ly clipped in, i broke the old badge up to get it off, any kind of leverage to get the badge off would of definitly bent out the grill surround, as for the back i ordered mine from ultimate customs, https://www.ultimatecustomsuk.com/products/audi-rear-black-badges?_pos=2&_sid=87f9863f5&_ss=r, to be honest because its stuck on you can use any size badge i guess, i'd prefer a smaller badge if i had of thought about it earlier, lots of sticky to get off, and yes the badge is 1922 x 68.
yeah i just bought the flat one, the curved one is for the saloon, there is a tiny curve to the boot but its nothing it sticks well and you wouldnt know the differenceDid you get the flat 192mm one, not the curved one, for the rear ?
Any advice on removing the front S3 badge?

That just requires a little squeeze on each side and pull forward - Well that's how I got mine out - It doesn't have the clips like the ringsMatt wainwright
Same question here. I was able to remove the chrome grill rings (by basically destroying them), but I’m not sure where to start with the S3 grill badge.
Anyone have any advice on how to do this without damaging the grill?
Cheers,
Brad

My fingers - I just grabbed each side as best as I could and gripped and pulled it out and then pushed the new one inThanks - What did you use to squeeze? A flathead screwdriver?

No, I managed to grab the side of the badge and sort of squeezed and pulled - It came out quite easily reallyThanks -- I can't get my fingers on the actual clip, as it's secured inside the grill housing. Were you pushing on the grill housing itself, and then you pulled forward on the badge?
It is an 8Y SportbackOk, thanks for the responses - I need to spend some more time looking at it and fiddling around. Just to confirm - this is on a S3 8Y, right?

Yes, easier than removing the rings as well - They were more trouble to avoid any scratchingGreat, thanks for confirming. Exactly the same grill layout as the 8Y saloon over here. I'll mess around with it some more, but glad to hear that there's an easy method for this that doesn't involve removing the grill!

I broke mine as well and that was after getting behind and bending the clipsIndeed - that's what I was fearing, and I'm glad to hear that it's nothing like that! I spent about an hour on those, and ended up basically destroying the existing chrome rings, but luckily no damage to the grill.
No problem glad you got it sorted@Sparks43 -
Thanks to your guidance, I was able to apply a little more force to the right-hand side of the emblem, and it popped right off! Thanks again - that saved me a lot of time and worry
