A3/S3 delivery lead time?

Mine took about 2 weeks from being at the port to arriving in the uk then a few days to get to the dealer. I think it depends on how quickly it goes on a ship.
I would say 2 - 4 weeks at a guess

Congrats to the few who have taken delivery!

Another recap and update on my order (each point being a contact with Audi):
  • 17th Feb - Ordered (TFSI 35 Sportback S Line w/ C+S)
  • Given mid-June delivery estimate
  • Pushed back to late-July
  • Pushed back to late-August
  • Pushed back to early-October
  • Most recent contact last week - An update will be provided by 30th October on whether the car will be built by year-end or not.
I'm fully prepared to cancel my order if production will not be by year-end.
I know there is nothing that can be done about supply issues but it's the fact Audi are clearly able to produce cars, I assume the ones that are most profitable. Also, my local dealership are still taking new orders providing unrealistic delivery timeframes just to get people signing on the dotted line - terrible customer service.

Gone from the system not working for a few weeks to now just saying they’re not giving updates, nice.

Got an update from my leasing company saying the vehicle should be with the dealer within the next week, so looks like another shipment is coming to the UK.

Have asked them not to do any washing as part of the PDI as it's going straight for a ceramic coat, which thankfully they have agreed to.

That sounds like excellent news for you. Hoping that my order may not be too far away. Ordered Vorsprung saloon in Daytona Grey 16th April and a confirmed build date of week 37 which has not changed on the system so could be correct or a false hope. Originally given a px price on my current vehicle which I was happy with but after consulting my dealer who says in light of time lag and second hand car prices that will be revised and likely to be a £4K increase in the px so I have a real vested interest in getting this order as soon as!

Make sure you get the best px price as I’ve noticed the used car market is slowly starting to stabilise and prices are coming back down.

Agree, that’s why 7 months in I’m getting edgy about when this will be completed

What build week were you?

Leasing company just emailed me to say March/ April delivery. Ordered in June. Fuming is an understatement
I ordered an SLine on the 30th June with a few extras. Yesterday I got an updated estimate build week of 50. At this point now I'd rather it be delivered for March and the new reg plate.

My build week was meant to be 2 weeks ago. The reg thing I’m not so fussed about as I’ve got a private one to go on. I sold my car in April too as they quoted October/November delivery originally. I’ve lost interest in it all now after this.

This is good news. My car is currently stuck at the port and I’ve been given a new delivery date of 15/11. Sounds about right but I’ve lost all hope and I’ll believe it when I see it

Could be worse, your leasing company could turn round and tell you April delivery like they did with me yesterday.

Collected my car from the dealer this morning, absolute pleasure to drive! Certainly an upgrade from my Dacia :)

The dealer has called today to say mine's been built & is in transit. All being well it should be here in a month.
I ordered in mid-March & the last build date I had was week 36.

Mine was week 36 too so I am praying that mine is about to be or already has left the factory

To be honest, I have no idea and the general communications around build status from my leasing company were just always "In production" (still says this tbh). Order was placed in April and I just left it until around mid-September as the original delivery date was end of September. Managed to get the consignment number at the beginning of October and was told then it was at "stage 7" from Audi CS.

From all the reading I've done here over the last eight months or so, build weeks don't really provide a much clearer view in terms of overall timeframes compared to pre-pandemic times.

Vorsprung 35 TFSI S-tronic in mythos black, no addons.

Pick up my car from dealers on Monday after placing order 26 April 21

Has anyone had an update since Audi were meant to recommence production on the 30th Oct ?
Ordered Vorsprung saloon mid April and sat at confirmed build week 37 for weeks. Informed today by my dealer that now showing status 30, on way to Port so there does appear to be some movement but no logic to how it’s organised

Yes apparently I’ve gone from early December delivery to April delivery, all unconfirmed of course.
Oh jheez ! The fact that you still don't have confirmation of build date is crazy.
Mine has been in production 7 weeks so far

We've just joined the back of the queue today , we have a 65 reg S3 so not in any rush but planning ahead to pick up sometime next year, been quoted 9-12 months delivery on a S3 Vorsprung.

Cancelled my S3 Vorsprung. Ordered early April. Unconfirmed 2nd week of January build. Phone box removed, 360° camera removed.
I pick up a fully loaded BMW M340 on Saturday. I wish you all good luck. Your going to need it!!

Maybe I'm in the minority here but although I can't wait to get my car home , I'm not too fussed with the time line. I last had my own car in 2018 and was due to get another at the same time but we had a few family problems and decided that we would just use my partner's car until things got better. I was going to order in 2020 but stupidly thought no point in lockdown . I finally ordered my new car in July with a delivery date of 31/12/2021. I've since been told mid march delivery I'm kinda hoping it arrives by 28th my birthday. This will be my second car my first was a mitsubishi ASX which I loved. I'm just excited to have my own car again hopefully sooner rather than later .

I totally get why people are upset just wondered if there was anyone else who's just excited

Well the upside for me in the delay (ordered April and now on way to the Port) is that the price of my part x which was agreed at £14K in April is now £18K and confirmed by the dealer that it will be the current value. All in all there is a definite silver lining but I agree with others Audi do not appear to have any set pattern in how they manage orders. In answer to your question yes looking forward to receiving the car

I am just waiting for confirmation from my company that I can cancel the order and get something else. Ordered on 8th of Feb and now being told 18th of Feb 2022 but I really don’t believe that either. I was really excited about the car but has time has went on and getting fobbed off and constantly let down I am hoping I can order from another manufacturer. The way Audi have dealt with most orders is absolutely pathetic..

I don't blame you! It's a shambles.

First comment for me, where else, the wait thread
I ve been watching for a bit this forum, so I thought I should share.
Ordered my 30TFSI in June.
First I was told I got build week 32 and my car would be delievered somewhere between late September and mid October.
Then I got a call from the dealer saying he got for me a 13th week build so I could have it by August.
I was on holidays waiting to get back and collect my car. But when I got to the dealer he said I got week 50 because of chip shortage.
About a month ago I asked again if by chance I would get the car in 2021 and surprise surprise my car was then week 12/2022.
I was afraid to call and ask for more info but today I did. It is now week 18/2022. Unconfirmed again.
What a shame
