What’s the best rate everyone has been able to get through Audi finance for pcp?

Ta.

And that’s Audi FS?

Any chance you’d be willing to share proof, if it is Audi? My dealer has said he would match any other Audi rate with suitable proof it is Audi finance…

I got 6.2 on 11/08/21 through Audi Finance. Definitely going to overpay to save some of that.

No, this is externally. Why do you need/want to go Audi finance?

If it’s Audi my dealer would have matched the rate… I don’t need to stay with Audi but was exploring whether I could push them for a better rate.

I am also exploring other options (non Audi) too but as per my OP, I was asking about Audi rates here.

Ok fair dos. I thought it was illegal for dealers to be matching rates and what not these days. Change in the rules a while back where dealers have to offer one rate and stick to it, not sure on the specifics.

I use full circle asset finance, ask for Luke and mention me. They’ve done my last few cars and can currently get 5.5% on PCP which is pretty unbeatable!

Not paid much attention to that tbh.

The latest rate is slightly worse than what I was offered a while back so just double checking in case anyone else managed a better rate earlier than me (say)

Cheers for that. I’ve dropped them a message so will see.

Luke couldn’t beat the deal… could get a better rate but monthly was higher as he couldn’t match the gfv.

I was hoping on balance it might have worked out better but he couldn’t help. Thanks for the tip though, you don’t ask you dont get eh

Yeah that’s the trade off he can nearly always get me a better rate, it sometimes just pivots on how big the balloon is like you say but I think with Audi it’s always going to be stronger but is also a bit of pot luck.

When I bought my 8v (used) Audi finance had a stronger balloon but was 9.9% apr

What figures have you got from Audi out of interest and is it a Vorsprung? I’ve not even touched finance yet tbf, will figure that out closer to the time.

My bank have provisionally agreed 4.9% HP or 5.9% PCP
HP is pretty much 50% more than PCP from my quotes but no balloon and ownership after 60mths... they say PCP 49 months with 20k balloon, decisions decisions, I can afford HP but unlikely to keep the car 5yrs anyway so I'll prob PCP it.

I am in equity on my current car and as at last month WBAC quoted almost 65k so the longer Audi delivery takes, the better I am really but hoping for (silly me) BW3 still.

20k balloon seems really low. I use the magnitude finance calculator to gauge all my finance. Their example balloon for a Vorsprung 48months at 6k miles was 32.5k

I know, at the end of the day they want higher monthlies I guess - but as I will move the car on at say the 2.5 - 3yr point, it kinda works in my favour I think as I will see a touch more equity at that point. 6 of 1 half dozen of the other as they say. HP isn't off the cards yet.

Yeah it’s a tricky game to play, I always have intentions of keeping my cars that long but never do lol. This will be my first brand new one though so would anticipate I’ll have to hang onto it for a little while longer to circumvent the negative equity hit. That being said the way the markets going they could end up holding value well!

I always tend to work on getting my deposit back, if I can do that I’m happy. The monthlies are just what I’m prepared to sacrifice for ownership.

Think Halifax banking app is about 4.4% that's what I'll probably useas long as it doesn't wildly change between now and when the car arrives

I’ve got a APR Stage 2 MK7R DSG Golf which I’ve owned from new.
It’s a good spec being a 3 door in Oryx white, DCC, Prets, Winter Pack, Dynaudio / MIB2 and privacy pack.
I had the APR stage 2 with FMIC and full APR exhaust put on the car together with a Tarox 8 Pot 2 piece BBK and upgraded the suspension with Racingline springs and rear ARB swapped out.
The car has covered just 42k so I’ll have to put it on PH and hope for the best.
My plan was to buy a new RS3 on a PCP something I’ve not done before but at £59k it’s quite a chunk of money.

Today I got quoted on a launch edition RS3 based on a £21k deposit 6k a year over 4 years which got the payments down to £221 per month with a GFV of £38,800. Seemed very affordable.
Usual APR 6.3 % applied and a 6-8 month wait.

What sort of monthlies have others been quoted?
TBH I’ll miss my R which has been faultless and I only had it ceramic coated
this year. Just thinking now may be the right time to put it on the market. Fabulous up together package for one lucky buyer.

GFV sounds pretty high? Audi were quoting around the £30/31k mark after 4 years…

You sure you’ve got a launch edition?

And certain they said 6-8months for a launch edition? That sounds like carbon edition timescales rather than LE… I hope!!

It might of been the carbon edition tbh I contacted the dealership to make an appointment to view a launch edition expected in 6 weeks time.
He gave me a quick illustration of a deal he’d done for another customer so until I go in and discuss the figures and get it on paper I’ll confirm. Seemed pretty
/ too cheap.

It will seem cheap with a balloon that high your just paying the interest more or less

Yeap….may put £25k and finance rest on a cheap loan.
Or just buy a nice low mile 2018 example and save a wad of cash.
Im also looking at Cayman. GTS and R8”s at this price point. A high spec MK8 R via Drive the Deal seem even better value with options £41k! I know it’s not the same as an RS3 but they’re not bad cars.

A nice 2018 example in this market probably won’t be far off the price of a new 8Y!

I’ve just had a look at a fully loaded golf R and looks like you’re going to be paying similar monthly payments to an RS3 given the fact the residuals on the RS3 are so much stronger vs a golf.

I've had a couple of quotes for the new Rs3 also done a quote for a 8R which came in at just over £40k . I know someone that as ordered a new R through DTD and got 14% off its a great deal but the wait is 40+ weeks also not overly keen on the 8R interior compared to the Rs3

Yeap it does seem the case. Only benefit of the 8R is you can option it up to £47k with pretty every option then buy it thru DTD for just over £40k which is a big saving. As we all know a high spec R in the trade is worth little more than a bog standard car when the time comes to resale.

Been looking at good low mileage RS3’s as you say they’re commanding £40k +++ and it’s doesn’t make financial sense to jump ship getting a 3-4 yr old car.
TS3’s are all caught in this artificial price bubble as are Golf R’s. Many 7/7.5 R owners seem to dislike the problematic 8R dash.

Just to conclude this I couldn’t find a better rate and Audi FS rate us actually increased so I had a better rate than would now be offered…

I’ve funded through other means as 6.2% was a bit high imho and since there were no Audi FS contributions there was no need to stick with it.
