Rs3 colours

Thinking of it as it’s 61k max now pretty much.
The worry I have if I do is the 8Y isn’t flattered at all with certain colours.

Most will be ogling the exclusive paint more than “hmm, that colour doesn’t flatter it”. And I would argue exclusive paint makes it a lot more desirable come sale time, unless a really off the wall colour

I think thats the private owned Ascari track where some of top Gear has been filmed

I see there is San Marino blue on that list… love that colour and would look good with the various black parts on the car too.

The more I think about it the more I fancy an exclusive colour

San Marino is very nice

Looks great. That’s the wrong shade of yellow for those accent parts imho but that looks great.

I think it would work better on the 8y too - really wish I could have chosen a colour for my LE…

Just do what every You tuber does and wrap it,

Honestly I cant think of anything i'd rather not do than a wrap, can you imagine taking it off and finding all those scalpel cuts through the paint ?

That’s why you don’t go to a cowboy company and pay for a good one. Then they don’t use a knife at all. They use knifeless tape, I had the wrap removed from my last RS3 with no issues, Infact it protected the paint from any swirl marks or stone chips, and even the scuff on the underside of front bumper that looked bad on the wrap, didn’t make it though to the paintwork

Thats sounds good but even watching a few of the Yannimize TV shows they are using scalpels ?

That thought has crossed my mind. Up close every wrap I’ve seen has been a bit naff so it puts me off a tad but the mild protection it offers is appealing.

Tbh I am more likely to sell my LE and get a new order in than wrap it… and that’s not very likely so I will just say dream of what might have been

With the government's plans for internal combustion engines and their increasing demands on our wallets in every car related sphere, I've come to the conclusion that it's pointless buying a new and expensive car.

That said, I like the yellow and the green colours :sign yum:

That is some way off, and equally how long until fossil fuel is actually “banned”?

Totally agree Nev - fossil fuel cars will still dominate for at least the next 2 decades - plus with synthetic fuels being developed by the Oil Companies and F1 (which could be a game changer) and HVO diesel, EV's are far from marching ahead.

Very true. EV’s not the complete solution, as you ain’t gonna get lekkie planes are we? For cities, get it, but need to find other means such as synthetic as you say and probably hydrogen which seems to be getting proper focus.

I had Floret on my S4 and was really hoping that it would be an option for the 8Y RS3, but of course it wasn't... I think that cars with lots of black accents look really good with the silvers and Floret had an almost blue tint to it in some lights that made it just a bit special so I think that it would've looked really good on the 8Y.

great minds think alike ;)
Same reason I liked it on my last RS3 - the contrast against the black worked really well and the shade of silver (dark & blue tint as you say) looked so good.

It was actually an RS3 that appeared in my work car park one day that made me choose Floret for my S4 because it looked so good!

No I must admit if I were going exclusive then I would have to get a more "exclusive" colour.
Pretty sure I would go racing mica blue - looks fantastic and not offered as a standard colour in the range.

Good shout. I think silver is going to make a bit of a come back…

White has had its time, so has battleship grey and Matt paint finishes, but silver could be the dark horse making a come back

A decent silver against black touches looks really nice.

a close call as both very similar - I don't think you would go wrong with either.
If I had to choose though probably mica.

Both are really nice but I personally prefer voodoo - prefer darker blue over light blue but that's just me.
If you've had voodoo and wouldn't want it again I understand you opting for riviera.
