A3/S3 delivery lead time?

Slightly off topic but I sold my SEAT leon FR today to cazoo....(I was going to part exchange for the new Audi A3 when it's finally ready)
My dayz... super impressed with Cazoo. I was expecting to have to haggle but none of it... Great customer service.... quick as you like. Payment was in my bank before I left the building.

I'll be looking to sell mine to Cazoo as currently the best offer by a mile. Did they argue with the condition that you put on the quote?

Looks fantastic, received at last, mine still showing status 39 at the Port. Question, did yours arrive with wireless charging?
Yes it did. Glad yours is making progress!

This is good to hear, was also planning to use Cazoo. Their offer was about £250 less than what I got through Carwow (which actually is Wizzle who handles the selling side of things, who then connect you to a dealership), but they have a drop off site very close to me. Everyone else wanted to collect the car, keys, V5C and take it away before paying.

I can appreciate this is a fairly common practice these days, but still it's crazy to me to be effectively giving them the car before they hand over the £££. If anything happens between them taking it and arriving at the dealership, that sounds like a complete headache situation.

When did you all guys order?
Guess I ll have to call the dealer too. I don't have any hopes though

Honestly it was so easy no issues whatsoever.... I' was mentally prepared for a massive argument over the condition..lol. but no issue. And like you the cazoo offer was comfortably higher than WBAC

Well we ordered a new S3 Vorsprung first week of November and been given a build week of 8. If that comes out fine but we're not in a hurry, just thought I'd plan ahead.

Not that's it means much but my dealership has confirmed my draft build week has been brought forward from week 11 2022 to week 7 2022

I made my order back in early May 2021

I sold my TT to cazoo and very impressed with the price and service. Paid extra £75 for them to collect. No haggling over price and money in my account before car left my drive. Car now advertised on their website and sale price less than £500 more than they paid me.

Iikewise, I sold my A4 via Motorway.co.uk, they beat cazoo by a healthy £800.
Impressed by them as well. Just shows how strong the used market is at the moment.
Just need to hope my ordered vehicle gets brought forward.

Lucky in one respect, cash for existing car. Like you still playing the waiting game for the new one. Good luck in getting a build slot. I've been waiting since March.

Finally informed by my dealer that the car arrives with them this week and should pick up by weekend, long wait since April and really feel for those that are waiting even longer

Congratulations - Praying mine was on the same ship!

Yeah I don’t have a build week ordered 2nd February it’s pants to say the least

Ordered beginning of March have finally got confirmation from the lease company that the car has been built and will apparently arrive at the dealership mid December!!! After following this thread for months cynical of the whole process so expecting further delays until its been delivered

There has been a recent spate of orders being delivered which is always good to see. Seems the average wait is 7-9 months

I'm 9 months in and have an estimated build of week 6. Will be over 1 year from order to delivery. There is no obvious pattern with Audi, appear to be a hit or a miss as to when they build vehicles.

Ahh! There goes my theory then...
If I'm right in thinking you're awaiting a vorsprung? Obviously a lot more gadgets, but it's still no excuse on Audi's behalf

I've ordered an edition 1, only extra is roof rails. I personally know individuals who ordered the same vehicle after me and have already uplifted their car from dealer. Apprears no rhyme nor reason.
All the best.

I ordered in June and have an unconfirmed build week 18
So there is no pattern at all

Unless sports seats are considered gadgets, I see no reason for my delay

I ordered in June as well and have an unconfirmed week of 3. Again it makes no sense.

There is the Theory that in a way makes sense and that is Dealerships/Groups allocation of cars, larger Dealerships get far more cars allocated to them than smaller Dealerships far less ....
For instance Lookers Audi are a huge group so their allocation will be larger etc etc
The RS3's build slots even seem to be progressing at the moment that is does seem that Audi are prioritizing certain models as well

For what it’s worth mine was at status 38 on 6th Nov. I’m now looking to pick up Friday so movement has definitely increased. One thing to note is that mine apparently has been delivered without the wireless charging

That has moved quick, hopefully they keep up the pace. Yeah I've already been told mine won't have it as I did originally have it as an option.

Hi everyone
I have been following this thread for a while now which at times has got my hopes up and at other times absolutely killed them! I/my lease company have ordered a 35 TFSI sline stronic with no optional extras. I had a build week of BW28 and it’s still nowhere to be seen. I don’t know for sure but I think I remember my lease company telling me they ordered in February time. The only update I have had for the last 2-3 months is “delayed in production”. The delays are annoying but I understand they are out of Audis hands in some respect but what has annoying me is the terrible organisation, support and communication. I have been without a car for 3 months now after my old lease finished and I was unable to extend it. The best Audi can do is £250 goodwill - I’m paying £500 on a rental vehicle per month! The system in which they are working through the backlog just seems crazy as some have said already, it just seems totally random. I just hope I’m not waiting much longer!

Been told by my dealer that there's a ship with around 1400 cars on it due to arrive tomorrow so anyone waiting on theirs arriving could have a good chance

My car is in the UK!

Although my dealer said I should have it by Christmas, surely the turnover isn’t that long?

Congrats. It’s around 4-6 weeks I believe. What spec is yours and how long ago did you order.
Picked up my A3 Vorsprung saloon today after ordering in April. My dealer said more vehicles are coming through much more regularly so hope for those of you still waiting

I ordered a edition 1 the 10th of June and I’m still waiting. Not heard anything for around a month now and I’ve given up chasing answers.

I ordered an Edition 1 with the Comfort and Sound Pack. Ordered on the 26th of June.

Actually quite surprised I’ve gotten mine this early considered how long some have been waiting.

I ordered Edition 1 16th June and I’ve heard nothing for over a month now.
It’s such a shame how some people have been treated! My dealer isn’t proactive with the updates and it was a lot easier when you could message audi centrally, have to ring like 2/3 times a week to get an update.

I might try give them a call next week and see if anything has changed.

After over 9 months of waiting (ordered Feb 11th), I have confirmed handover for next Friday.

Spec is 35TFSI S Line Comfort + Sound

For those who ordered mid-year and chasing, you might have a while longer. Saying that, my dealership and lease company have both said deliveries are picking up now.

I ordered the same model and spec as you back in start of March. I now have estimated build of week 6, so you did ok. I'm looking at over a year from order to delivery. Happy motoring when it comes next week.
