Just been informed the exclusive paint option has literally run out

This happens every so often back in March 2017 exclusive paints where halted till the middle of May 2017 as l had got a quote from coast2coast via whetstone Audi they're salesman said I'll give you a call back when they come back online to order sure enough he did in May Glsd my order is

They (TETBURY) are fairly local to me, they do seem to get a decent allocation of RS cars in general as always have some in. Archie Hamilk*ob was there the other day “collecting-well driving someone else’s” RS3. He got his 1st RS6 from there, sold it 5 mins later then got another one recently as apparently his recently passed dad loved it.
Long story short, they are normally fairly switched on

Not that I have any Audi ordering experience (let alone exclusive paint ordering), but I do remember seeing an article which was along the lines of... "Exclusive paint orderbooks are full up for XXXX year. If you want an exclusive colour better book in for following year."
So perhaps they have a number of slots and as Jassy said in 2017. They close down Exclusive ordering for a time once filled up space.

Why funny about Audi is they seem to be making decisions to try to reduce demand when all it is really doing is pushing it up further!!

Really am tempted by an exclusive colour order. I may have contacted Audi to see if they fancy buying my LE and for me to join the back of the queue with a new exclusive order
If they do stop accepting exclusive orders that will be decision made though…

Audi do things that have no rhythm or reason to them....for me colour is everything =personalisation = more of an attachment to the carWhy funny about Audi is they seem to be making decisions to try to reduce demand when all it is really doing is pushing it up further!!

. l think the current optional/standard paint colour options are weak
Daytona Tango and Mythos being the Anchors choices all others are either divisive or too plain or a tad...meh...only you can decide what to do with yer vader spec flip it make some ££££ and wait for a special painted My2023 car

It’s entirely down to a) if I can get an exclusive order in before the price rise and b) how much I would get for my LE…
Where is the logic in that "normal production " would include availability of colour options across the board, they have been stalled in the past due to MY model changes why its happening this time around who knows

If they weren’t accepting orders then yes you’re correct. But if they aren’t excepting orders then it’s business as usual.

He said it happens now and again.
He also said the exclusive cars are removed from the standard paint line and taken to another area to have their colours applied.
He also said the MY change will be week 25 and this is when Audi will add/remove things that aren’t selling or that have been requested by people.
Maybe then we will get the interior colour options

I have an estimated delivery date which falls in Week 24. (that would be typical). After getting in before price increase and getting discount, they could throw in the design pack and I will be at peace with myself. It would be funny if they threw that option into the model year spec changes.
I know its all the speculation at moment but I like the idea of getting something I wasn't expecting included on my car like matrix lights, camera or electric tailgate etc. Probably won't happen but I can dream.
I suppose no real idea about how realistic June 2022 may or may not be. I know going on Golf R ETAs that would definitely be after MY 23 changes, so hopefully Audi can wait to build mine until after Week 25, lol

The story was that the Factory that supplied the metallic part in the paint was in Japan and had been damaged in the earthquake (probably 10 years ago now)

In reality that means those who ordered Exclusive colours will now have an even longer wait because Audi can't get the paint.....Exclusive paint option has gone from the dealer configurator this morning.

Dealer told me Audi are aiming to have exclusive cars built for June/July 22.

Fish bar.....wtf....is that a posh chippie anyway nobody has a scooby doo when their car will arrive no matter what paint colour it's covered withI wonder if that means my local fish bar will be in short supply too
