BIL11 85 (mkII) 2022 RS3 8Y Build

All in time - I've the list compiled for all interior mods necessary to match the European spec. Just waiting on my son to beat up the parts manager for best discount. If iits anything like the discount i got for the car, then Happy Days!!!! LOL
Looking at costs for modded seat covers etc with red stitching. Got a few good guys i know and they have said that its "possible" to overstitch the existing areas in red. We shall see, but at least things are in motion with no pressure on anything :)
That’s good indeed, you can keep us updated. The seats are the only thing I’ve not looked into at the moment.

Nope, they have a bypass device that they use and used it on other RS cars that had ECUs locked to stop it throwing up any fault codes.

Excellent! You’ll have to feed back what it’s like, with a price as well if they’ll tell you what it is for the rest of us.

Will do. Once I’ve got confirmation if they can be over stitched, together with cost/other options I’ll post details. BTW I’m assuming that’s your RS that Aoon has put a pic on inifint FB page??

Do they keep the GPF filters in place but remove the internals so at all look OEM ?

Pretty sure they are removed completely. Joe Achilles did a vid recently with Milltek (Billy not a fan o am sure after his last RS3), and the system for his M3 has the device that ensures no error codes

Will do, when I collect car I’ll get a price break down for use and report back for those that want to go the same route

Just thinking incase it goes into the dealership for work etc

Here’s a cold start video prior to the dyno. Get to hear here just the difference the PCW exhaust mod made. Look forward to the decat!

Post #155 - he is having it decat’d and OPF removed and bypass device so far does not throw errors

Ah got ya!
I was confused as i saw the PWC video. So did PWC fit the bypass device, or is everything being done at Infinit as i recall Aoon saying he had a way of de catting/OPF removal without causing DTCs/Errors etc?

It's all being done at Infinit. PCW only gutted the internals of the back box.

It will be interesting to see if just removing the OPF and Cat without being able to alter the engine ecu give any gains. sorry actual true gains

Yeah but what about stock? I was under the impression he’s has the stock figures but kept them secret

I guess the stock figures will eventually transpire, but not sure what his rational is for keeping things under wraps. Nowt stranger than a Scottish tuner!!!! LOL
Evolve had the issue when they dyno'd their car, but i'm sure Imran will get that on a decent dyno before they start to mod it. One of the guys i work with lives next door to Bilal, the guy thats the Eventuri master, so i'll top him up for any Inside info!!!!

Sorry about the delays, the reason behind it was they where wanting to dyno a standard 8V OPF and get a good comparison. The reason being is your going to get real figures that way of comparing on the same dyno ect but they still haven’t been able to get hold of one. Would also make good content which would be great advertisement for him.

Didn’t expect it to take so long if I’m honest and they are still wanting to keep it hush till they do get it. I’ll not share the videos or graph pictures but I will tell you the numbers it made.

We done 2 runs.
1st run - 443.5bhp/532.5nm
2nd run - 449.1bhp/525.2nm

If the figures are to be believed, Carwows A45s which is rumoured to be up to 300kg heavier and a cylinder down still beat the RS3 then we are in trouble. So somebody is telling porkies lol. The car (A45S) is either tuned or the figures are wrong.

Sounds promising although I expected them to do more runs?

Was that pre pcw exhaust mod too?

The rs3 bet the Audi didn’t it? Unless I watched another video

Yes it was the joe Achilles drag race where the A45 beat it rolling but not off the mark

They might have I wasn’t there, just going with the 2 graphs I was sent and they have the car for 3 weeks so there will be more done. No doubt they will do more once they do exhaust mods.

The PCW mod was done 3 weeks ago but that’s not relevant, wouldn’t make any difference to performance of the car

Post mod, and the backbox mod only adds sound, not power

Its really not all about max hp figures, it's also about the area under the curve which comes into its own as the car accelerates through the rpm range.

Didnt Audi say that they had lifted the torque to 500nm throughout the rpm range from 2250? rpm upwards? It would be nice to see Audi's official torque curve. A 2.5 litre car (RS3) compared to the 2.0 litre A45S shoud be able to make 25% more torque at lower rpm's

500 nm is 369 ft lb, just take a gear change, change at 6750? maybe the rpm drops to 5250rpm? the maths say: 369ftlb x 5250 / 5252 = 369 hp so the engine when accelerating would always have between 369-400hp.....or obviously a little more reading Billymc92 hp post :) Happy Days

Are you Scotland based Billy, or taken the car to Infinit due to their rep with RS3s etc?

I’m Edinburgh so less than 90 minutes catchment for ecotune, infinit performance and MRC Scotland. I was also at ecotune a week or two before. I knew nothing could be done but it was more just to let the guys see the platform and hear their options.

I was wanting to get it dynoed and be see the numbers, ecotune said they would get back to me but hadn’t heard, infinit performance where very interested in that and told me to come in right away so there i was.

I believe they are the only one to also offer this device that that can bypass the OPF/Decat error codes.
