It’s not taking long mate, this was always the plan. I’m away working offshore so they have the car for 3 weeks until I’m home so the work was getting done staggered between the 3 weeks in between there current jobs as after all, I wasn’t officially booked in. They took it right away over the excitement haha

it’s currently being done. Got a message at 15.30 saying it was getting fitted now lol

Saw their insta story as well, hopefully won’t be long before we get some sounds and power numbers to give an idea of whether it’s worth the money for us.

Interested in the solution they have for the sensors. I personally don't want to get it mapped straight away, so a cheeky sensor bypass would do nicely. It's really annoying how the Downpipe and OPFS are all one piece, so you can't just take them out. Previously there were flanges there (Pre-OPF models), which would have made it a whole lot easier.

This. A full decat and mid pipes is a bit too loud for my liking so I'd have kept the stock cat and deleted the OPFs for more sound. Thing is, if they've removed the cat and opfs then the car isn't going to be running right surely and they can't rectify that with the ecu locked?

I don't think it would be a problem. I've had a few cars with a similar Bosch ECU to what's in the RS3 and they're surprisingly clever. They can self-adjust loads of parameters. I guess it makes sense given it's a global platform that needs to deal with different fuel quality, humidity, and altitudes, etc.

Quick update. So currently working nightshift so only on a short break so I’ll update use properly in a bit and will post the videos of the worlds first decatted RS3 8Y and can also post the dyno run videos and graphs.

Off the bat though, absolutely huge difference in sound department. Audi has already coded out the wastegate rattle so no more of that. The car is extremely loud and pops on up shift/downshift now.

My good friend @5pot has heard the videos so he can vouch for it till I post the videos either tonight or tomorrow morning!!

Really look forward to the videos and dyno run results.

And the price, because I imagine I’d like it for mine.

does it still have a quiet mode valve within the exhaust?

I was wondering the same haha! Sounds amazing but I don't wanna **** off my neighbours...although he does have a PCW backbox mod too

Currently no as PCW done a mode to make the most out of this as we didn’t think there would be any decat options for a while.

But infinit Performance is going to revert this part done that bypasses comfort so I can still have best of both modes, comfort for quietness and dynamic for loudness

New GoPro Max 360 ordered to get some better footage, god use guys are costing me a fortune!

Will make some good driving videos, especially at crail raceway when it opens up again! Maybe try santapod in the new car as I never made it there in my last Rs3

They never told you what it made after?

Yes course, but not got a video yet. Was never going to be a change just from the downpipe

You say that but the B9 S4s we’re seeing increases from removing cats or sticking in sports cats. If you stick an intake on as well and the ECU isn’t intentionally limiting power (could well be) then it should really be making better power I’d have thought. So makes me think the ECU is stopping it which is a shame.

100 hp or 75kw drag at 6500, that really does look like too much to me, which of course reflects in the crank hp when added on to the wheel hp, It's 100 hp being turned into heat at the end of the day, unless of course the car was alowed to slow down in gear turning the engine?

Bold is dnwc
Thin is dnwa
Dashed is daza

Is 8Y DNWC for those of us who are relatively new to the RS3 fold? I know the DAZA is the PFL 8V but that’s where my knowledge ends.

Give it a decent map, and eventuri intake and I’m sure it will deliver like the previous generation RS3s have. Won’t be long before the ecu is cracked, and the tuner fraternities start promoting various tuning packages

Eventuri is waste (and a lot) of money for the tiny gain.

Stock air box is good for 600.

When I was using the Dyno Spectrum system the biggest restriction on the intake was the tiny turbo elbow / hard pipe.
I upgraded to the 4” Revo turbo elbow and 4” matching hard pipe, makes a big difference to flow into the turbo.

After a dig around the web most think the VW platform transmission losses are around 18%

Roughly 343 wheel hp +18% on Billys car = 405 hp, where else did we see 405 hp ? :)
