Audi A6 40 TDI C8 Gearbox Vibration

Goodafternoon Gentlemen

Last week, i went to a tuner in the Netherlands to tune my car. i asked for stage 2 tuning + DSG tuning. Anyways, a few days later, i noticed a slight vibration in the gearbox on low speed in D, more like a smooth vibration. This only happens when i drive on Comfort mode on D/S from the 5th gear to the 7th at 2k rpm. I can feel/hear it everytime it shifts. Also these vibrations never happened before when i bought the car, even before the tuning. It's a 'new' car, bought 2nd hand at 29k kms on the clock. Now it's almost at 40k kms. Could it be the DMF?

-Stage 2 + DSG Tuned
(Standard 204 HP/400 nm, now at 245hp/450 nm)

Update: vibrations are getting louder...as if someone is boring into my gears/gearbox.
I press the pedal and i'm on low speed and when the 5th gear reaches 2k rpm, i hear/feel the vibrations. it's like it is confused whether it should gear up or stay on the same gear. same goes with the 6th gear.

If the problem has only materialised after the you have had the software changed I would suggest that is the most likely cause. A failing DMF tends to exhibit problems over a period of time, slowly getting worse not suddenly failing. Have you spoken to the guys who did the software?

Thank you for the reply. You are indeed right about the DMF. I haven't spoken to them yet but i will. I'll let you know soon. Also yesterday, i drove my car on the highway on Dynamic mode on S to test it out and see for any changes. When i floor the pedal, i hear no vibrations at all, like it's happy to speed and DSG doing a good job on it's own..

So today, im at the tuner right now and i asked why the vibrations are happening. he told me that it is nothing serious and it will dissapear in a few days...which is strange because its almost 3 weeks after the tuning and it didnt disappear yet. anyway, i told him to remap it to its original settings (no stage 2 and dsg tuning). the thing is, i have an appointment on the 18th january at the Audi garage to change the start-stop system so thats why i went to the tuner. im gonna see if the the vibrations are still happening.
