Not sure if everyone knows but the saloon has the boot release by waving your foot under the rear of the car.

Looks like it is only auto open and auto lock.
You have to manually close it shut.
Maybe the vorsprung will have powered closure ?

Vorsprung has button to close it

It says on the configurator that the saloon Vorsprung comes with auto close

hopefully when we see a vorsprung it will be confirmed 100%

Don't worry mate - they have to have some extra gadgets in their fancy vorsprungs, along with their round steering wheels and alloy stickers ;) :tearsofjoy:

Very poor considering the price of the car in the first place..........
Should throw it in for free for those that ordered CCB's!

I can't say its something that will bother me.
I had on the Merc but never looked at it, so just having the alert if I have any pressure loss will be fine.
Other than that, I tend to give the tyres a visual inspection every so often and check the pressures with my own air pump anyway.
It does come on the Vorsprung though, so at least its there for those who really want it I guess.

lol :tearsofjoy: oh well, this will make you laugh ....
I made a right hash of the car mats from autostyle which just arrived today.
Somehow managed to order model year 1997-2003 *** so nothing remotely like.
Also ordered anthracite mats (as my last RS3) and they need to be jet black (ordered before the car arrived).
You in the market for any 20 year old design floor mats mate ? :tearsofjoy:

Interesting about the jet black vs anthracite.

On my 8V I had Anthracite.

Yeah I wrongly assumed these would be anthracite and they look odd against the jet black carpet, so even if I had ordered the correct model year, I would not have been happy with them.

Yes, that’s a dongle. What I was saying is it can’t be coded in on vcds. I wasn’t aware of this dongle.
Are you sure it cant be done on VCDS? (thats a bummer because I have VCDS) Golf8R can be done with OBD eleven

As far as I know. I know it can’t be done on the A6.
It was a faff at the start but now it’s become muscle memory to turn it off once I start the car.

stand to be corrected though.

Did you see the link I posted for Golf 8R? apparently needed the bonnet open to accept the new coding

Firewall built into the newer cars.

OPF later RS3’s have it when trying to flash the ECU.

Article here about it

Do you think the Audi has more protection than the current Golf8R? both Golf 8 and Audi 8Y seem to list the same dongle p/n for turning lane assist to 'remember last setting'

This lane assist 'remember last setting' has been altered with OBD Eleven on Golf 8 R

Difficult to say.

You’d think the module protocol would be the same as they are MQB platform cars.

Unless Audi have implemented a stricter approach to it.

as @Keano04 says, the interior does feel good & when you’re sat on the seats it’s only the steering wheel stitching you’d see in any case. The honeycomb pattern on the seats looks great (even better in red stitching I agree) but with the ambient lighting set to 2 colours that lifts things too.

I think when you have the car, the overall package will make you think less about the interior.

Look you guys are agreeing with my opinions on the videos. I said it feels great and that that carbon effect looks cool.

I fully plan on changing my vents to the red ones and getting my wheel re trimmed or replaced (if my car ever arrives).

Can you turn off the Audi heartbeat sound or whatever it is every time you exit the car ?

Isn’t there a menu setting for it?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

im not sure ... will have a search through the settings as I don’t need to hear that sound anymore lol

Yes, I did it today.
Go to: settings>announcements&sounds and get the volume to zero.

You found the bag hooks in the boot on your saloon yet?

I only spotted them around 2 weeks into ownership

Really handy but easily missed if new to Audi and like me, hadn’t even sat in an 8y a3 before I got my rs3

I haven't no
I only found it had the foot gesture boot open by mistake when I was cleaning it too :tearsofjoy:
I must have a close inspection of the entire car top to bottom this weekend I think.
Are you using runway or one of the other 2 screen layouts ?
I did use the Lambo type one initially but not tried the tradition 2 dials yet

I have mainly been using the "hockey stick", as the power and torque figures are still a novelty and I dislike the "Runway".
Ideally, I would like the two traditional dials for "normal" modes, with it switching automatically to "hockey stick" for RS modes. However, when I select the auto switching option in "hockey stick", it switches to "Runway" for RS, which is annoying and disappointing.

After you mentioned it recently, I am giving runway another try… must agree with you it is actually pretty good, especially now mine is run in and I’m not constantly checking the revs

I started with the 2 dials then primarily the lambo style and that has been my standard layout for a while. The 2 dials don’t appear to have rev lights unlike the others although that may be mode dependent? I really should have a look through the manual

I noticed that in runway mode you get rev lights in the head up display so I’m enjoying that little aspect
