Active requires a module, wiring into the Can high/low plus power and earth then coding into cluster / MMI etc
On the 8V the module is under the rear right.

Look on your options label Glenn in either the front of your handbook or the boot (on my 8V it was in the left hand access panel for changing what would be a normal bulb)
It’s 7K3 for Direct monitoring or 7K6 / 9 for indirect TPMS.

I’ve got a friend who has a detailing hobby such as yourself so he is champing at the bit to do it so I’ve said when the weather picks up he can knock himself out

Not that I’m gonna lose sleep over this, but I thought all vehicles from a certain year had to have TPMS as a standard feature?

I believe you’re right, but the passive version will cover the requirement. The full pressure and temperature monitoring is above and beyond though.

Looks like the tyre valve caps are black plastic so no TPMS.
Very nice colour.
It doesn’t have it, absolutely crazy! So another feature the launch edition does have over the vorsprung! If you look at the photos of the car temputure and the G-force, you can see it’s only got 2 dots at bottom of screen showing it only has 2 pages.

Totally unexpected, assumed TPMS will be standard. Not unless its done differently by wheel rotation difference means. So checked quickly on audi.co.uk , seems only RS6 has it built in as standard.
It'll definitely have it through wheel rotation since that's a legal requirement now. I'm very disappointed by it not coming with the Vorsprung, especially when you could potentially be taking it to 180mph with the dynamic pack. And when the base model demo car I drove had it...
Very strange for the base models to have it. I wonder how the hell they work that out!

Downside for me is you lose all the contrast from the black trim to mirrors, spoiler, lower side skirts and of course the upkeep of black lol
I think thats the reason it says something about only available after 18?mph, it uses ABS sensors, obviously a lower inflated tyre will have a smaller rolling radius, my Golf R has it std, amongst the many other std items that Audi want to charge you for
My 16k Fiesta had individual direct monitoring for each tyre so you could check the pressures, but a 65k performance Audi doesn't? What a joke. My ****** motorcycle has direct pressure monitoring ***!
The Direct one 'wakes up' at a set speed, however twice mine saved me driving on a flat tyre as it flashed up a warning as soon as i moved out of the garage, i always found the indirect one that measures rolling radius via the ABS to be slow to react.

I read that as it not having it on the saloon, but at this point anything is possible
Whoever is in charge of the configurator needs sacking. So many errors or things that aren't clear.
Edit: It says exactly the same for the Sportback, I thought it said something different. So it's still anyone's guess.
