RS3 Build Tracker Spreadsheet

Zero previous owners, not zero owners.

As far as the log book will reflect it’s still got the first keepers details on so the previous owner section will be blank.

it's still a used car then

^^ and £10k over list. People buying at that level will surely be made bankrupt when selling it on after all the factory orders arrive!

I received the joyous update that my car has progressed….backwards to BW38

I made the rather direct accusation to MSG/Lincoln Audi that they are deliberately prioritising perhaps more profitable customers, but decided against telling them to shove the car. They tell me that this is not the case and all RS3s are continuing to be delayed. I know this isn’t true but couldn’t be bothered to argue. I have decided to cancel, but i will wait until the car is ready for transport and they call me for the payment and i’ll tell them because that’s all they deserve.

Yes but still accurately described as having zero previous owners as per the log book.

So Audi or private, yes 1 owner from new, ad also says 0 previous owners, which is accurate.

Still will have 1 previous keeper on log book.

The AA ones are overpriced from Audi anyway as they told me they paid 69k and sell for 73k.

I’m in a fortunate position where I could pay for one over the odds, and I won’t lie, I’ve thought about it. I’ve got a fund of money for a car and the RS3 is what I really want. Out of principal, I won’t do it. While I admire good enterprise, the fact that even Audi themselves seem to be taking advantage of this seems so wrong to me. And while RS variants do hold their value reasonably well, this bubble will eventually burst and the loser will be one of us who will take a hit financially. For anyone with some sort of credit deal, that’s negative equity. Impatient as I am, I am going to wait for however long it takes.

No it won’t. Once it’s registered into the new owner then the no of former keepers will show as 1 but not currently, regardless I’m not that bothered as I’m sure you’re also not, I know this isn’t a V5 thread

Lol that’s actually what I meant.
The minute you buy it you are the second owner.

This really isn't true, the factory don't know who they're building the car for so they don't prioritise anyone else over you.

I think the Dealer would be delighted if you cancelled at that point - they will put the car on sale and sell at a much higher margin.

Isn't that the sad truth? The dealer really is in a win-win situation. The best thing we can all do is keep our orders until we get our cars so they don't have the opportunity to sell them as a pre-reg and make a fortune out of our misfortune.

I’ve been told that orders are in the customers name and it costs the dealer £1500 if this is amended. This was when Audi in Macclesfield were trying to justify a non-returnable deposit policy. I ordered elsewhere because of this, despite having been a customer at Macc since buying my S3 in 2014.

I'm hardly jumping up and down about it. I ordered the car at the beginning of October last year ***. I've had zero information from Audi directly and I recall from my TTRS order, I got an email notification from Audi of the build date. With this order, I got the build date in an email from the sales rep, but only after threatening to cancel... the dealer still thinks it will come sooner, as apparently things are now improving. They tell me the main reason for my cars delay is the RS Dynamic Pack. God knows, sounds like more bu llshi t to me. Contrast all this to my Cayman order - I get a monthly update on progress and whilst no build date there, they are tracking other orders and trying to work out where mine will sit in the queue.
Porsche are in a just as bad situation as Audi if not worse my son's dealership has had no new stock in since the middle of March and that set to continue to the end of June ....so we all just need to deal with it l would have no contact with my dealer if it wasn't for me contacting them first ....l have went from a confirm build week 47 to unconfirmed week of 49 now so what it's outwith my control and my dealer....ergo

I went walkabout round a Ford dealership the other day it had zero new stock but plenty of nearly new preregistered cars with less than a hundred miles on the clock....l clocked a sales guy...lol went over and asked him the lead times of a new Puma/Fiesta he said 6 to 7 months....gosh l said ...he then said we have a lot of nearly new cars in stock...l asked what the APR was on them.....he replied 9-9 % l replied yer having a laugh.....**** Audi aint that high....he said it is what it is.....my assumption is that the new car stock they have they are registering them firing a few miles on them....selling for a few grand more and getting a higher APR

A friend had a 911 GTS that he was given allocation for in March, spec lock in happens in June and then delivery in September. And he gets regular updates too. So they're not in as bad of a situation as Audi (or as bad as Audi make out) if that's anything to go by.

Bad in the way of lead times of waiting for one they are.....used cars sales of Porsche's are through the roof.......Yeah as Audi UK make out......That's equivalent to a book by the Brothers Grimm March so not really affected by Rasputins invasion of Ukraine.....

Re-edit VAG group will prioritize parts/chips accordingly to the Marques with a higher profit margin ie Bentley/Lambo/Porsche

The polo gti had some decent lease deals a while back - mate at work got one for his mrs

Nice little motor and nippy enough so may be worth keeping an eye out.

We have a Polo R-Line. It’s a great wee car. 1.0L Turbo is great and handles like a go kart. Just don’t buy it in the dark blue colour. Too hard to keep clean.

Ok, you lot have had way to many chances to tow the line across so many threads, it cannot continue.
It is getting beyond reasonable behaviour and ends now.
Why this specific forum finds the need to act this way is beyond me to be honest.
some of you lot are heading for some time out I'm afraid, if you cant play by the rules then maybe you should look elsewhere.

Good Morning All,
Few members have had their build weeks in May now being shifted into June onwards. The positive's indicate quite a few members cars are being slotted into the 2nd half of 2022 to 2023 as an estimated allocation.
