Hello I’ve posted before in another thread about remapping my S3 which is 100k+ miles. I was just wondering does anybody have any experience with Amd tuning rang them today about remapping my car and they recommended stage 2 as I plan on buying a Bcs exhaust system they also said there map will be able to run on 95 as I travel a lot to Ireland and that’s the max octane unfortunately any help appreciated thank you

Before mapping a car on 100+ k miles I would want to make sure it was running perfectly with all the maintenance up to date. At that mileage, it will certainly need the inlet valves walnut blasting.
if it is a manual, you will certainly need to think about a clutch.
if you went to stage 2+ rather than stage 2 you release a lot of extra torque. This needs the fuel pump internals changing.
Your performance gains will be limited by the 95RON. What about taking octane booster with you on a trip to Ireland so you can have a 98 RON map?

I believe I’m the cars 6th owner I know the previous owner took good care of it and I’m keeping up maintenance myself(service every 2000-4000 miles) the only problem I see with the octane booster is I plan on moving back to Ireland in the future so it would be running on 95 all the time was thinking revo as there all ready in Ireland but no garage near me does revo and the walnut blasting.

you can now get 98RON in IRL but dayum it's expensive, I run octane booster now with the 95 and it's almost like the 98RON the butt dyno says and teh booster pays for itself with 2 tanks (there definitely is a noticeable difference between 95with booster and wo).

I have an AMD stage one map, it's perfect. They check the overall condition of the the engine prior to mapping, if good they'll do it.
They check the car new map on the rolling road to see if all is good.
They save the old map should you wish to revert.
Everything that should be done, is done properly.
Point to note, your coil packs may start to die a few days later so be prepared to buy new ones, it's normal. After my second one gave up I changed the other two as well. Make sure they are Bosch oe or the R8 red ones.
I've had zero problems with my my engine since remap 4 years ago, 2.0T. E888 engine and Just tell them you run 95ron as mine is.

You could go revo and opt for switchable maps (if they still do them), one for 98RON and one for 95RON?

Replace your plugs, PCV, dipstick and DV before you get mapped to save yourself diagnosing mis-fires and rough running post tuning.

I think APR used to do switchable maps too.
