Good to see some people are starting to follow the B6 to B7 trend !!!

Its good to be back to the forums after a 9 month break due to work !!!!

Anyone wanting B6 cab help then drop me a PM

Andy

andy, me thinks you need the help buddy, my lights work properly now mate LOL:moa:

I bought the Kufatec conversion adapter, do I have this problem ??

If so, what is the solution, you haven't said :shutup2:

yes you deffo have the problem.
kufatec adapters only stop you getting the bulb warnings on the dis, they dont get round the problem of still having the brake light half lit.
the b7 lights should only have the middle square lit and the top section is for brake light only, i guess im correct in saying that the top is lit aswell as the center square on side lights, then the top becomes full brightness when you brake.
the top light still has a 5v feed to it as it is the side light that becomes a brake light ( 12v feed )
the 5v feed needs to be removed but still allow 12v from the brake.

Sorry for the newbie question, but what other items would I need other than the rear light clusters and bulbs, and where could I source them from other than ebay?

Would I need to do any metal cutting to get these to fit or is it all electrics?

I am somewhat of an Audi novice so any help would be appreciated!

you need the lights and the loom adapters, thats it, straight forward swap out, they are exactly the same size.
the kufatec looms are about £57 plus the postage from germany, im making them now, exactly the same and can sell you them for £50 inclusive of postage.
as for the lights themselves, the bay is the first option but there hard to come by in pairs, seem to bee more rights than lefts about.
pm a guy called pjmspeedy, he gets parts at a good price and could do you a good deal.

Hey,

I did the b7 light upgrade in the summer, then bought my kafutec adapters and I noticed the same thing....

Is anyone local to the midlands who could sort the problem out for me?

Oh, come on :applaus:

1wheel has spent hours researching and testing this mod and is the ONLY person in the world to have worked out the fix so everyone he has done it for is sworn into the b7 light club and any member of the club found to have divulged 'the knowledge' is hunted down by the other members and sacrificed to the god known as '1' ..........

Hey, 1wheel,

I'm in Dudley (go to uni in loughborough and my girl is in Nottingham), so i guess i'm all over the midlands.

I have just given my cab to my cousin so he can get some work done to it while i'm busy, but i'll give u a shout in a week and see if we can arrange something.

I have a set of lights up in the loft (for 1 year now ) and will be PM'ing Mr 1 wheelonly now.....

Hi

I would be very grateful if you could give me some info on connecting up b7 tail lights to b6 cab?

Cheers Mark

Yes, I am sorted Paul told me when I bought some parts off him

I wonder how many people are driving round without realising their B7 lights aren't looking like they are supposed to, I have seen a few on the motorways

ive seen a few now, makes me laugh when i see it, they must all have the kufatec looms and think its right.

yes mate, thats what i mean, the kufatec loom alone doesnt complete the job, coding is required, kufatec themselves when i contacted them knew nothing, useless ! this is why i went on a mission to resolve.
the plugs to adapt your own looms yourself are only about a quid each and the resistor needed is about £3 doddle

Thanks for your replys I was just about to shell out £60 on a loom that does half the job! Would someone be interested in selling me a working loom?

hi any one got a correct working loom for b6 to b7 rear lights for sale need a pair asap!

I have been looking at mine recently, never actually checked them at night as I am always driving it. But I let my mate drive it a few days ago and I noticed that I too have the issue of the top light still being illuminated. When it should only be the square in the middle of the light that is lit up. Can anyone help??
