fingers crossed it isn't too bad. I think my bill came in at about £150 for diagnostics, new lid and screws, 1x engine control relay and 1x starter motor relay. I'm sure it would have been a bit cheaper to have done it myself but the car was under warranty at the time

I had a similar issue shortly after buying the car where the lid for the case that houses the ECU and control relays was damaged. This allowed some water in which damaged the relays causing all sorts of issues. Solved by replacing the lid over the ECU plus new relays from Audi. All is fine now...
