I doubt the intercooler pipe would do it coz it's happening at low revs.
Have you checked to see if the timing is out?
When is is due for a cam belt change?
I'm not 100% sure but in my experience airbag lights coming on is usually the airbag connection under one of the front seats. I think it's usually the yellow connector.
Hope that helps
I just thought I'd add to the bumper info.
If anyone is contemplating changing their front bumper (say if they have an s-line cab with the standard non-s-line bumper) to the s4/s-line shape and they have a 3.0 v6 tdi then they will have to cut the existing intercooler scoops to fit the new...
I'll look for a photo of the balance shaft assembly in situe. on my blb before I got rid of it just to see if the chain was visible from underneath.
I seem to remember that it was?
As far as I'm aware, the crank and cam sensors have to be working whilst cranking engine for the injectors to work. Maybe the fuel pump is the same?
Would help if someone with more technical knowledge than me can say if that true or not.
If it's the v6 3.0 tdi and you eventually want to change the front bumper with standard s-line you'll have to trim down the intercooler scoops otherwise it won't fit on. If it'd the 2.0 tdi then there's no problem - straight swap
I wouldn't leave the chain driven balance shaft in it if it was mine. I'd either delete or upgrade with gears and upgraded hex shaft.
I did the delete and I now have no worries!
If it's a BLB it would have had the chain drive oil pump originally so you definitely need to take a look by dropping the subframe and removing the sump and replacing it.
If you stick an inspection camera through the oil drainage hole it will show you whether the chain drive has been replaced...
If i understand you right. You found out the relays were in water after the rac guy had looked and now after drying out the original relays it still won't start?
If this is correct I'd get replacement relays.
I don't think there is. I took a +ve from aux fuse so mine come on when the ignition is switched on, you can take an earth from pretty much anywhere.
Where are you putting the drl's?
Millers Eco max diesel additive is really good at freeing stuff up.
You haven't by any chance got a piggy back performance chip on your car have you? Coz that can cause over boost and limp mode, if you have id take it off!
