All this talk of bouncing, uneasy handling and lack of steering feel is exactly why I traded my S3 in for another Fiesta ST back in November and haven't regretted it in the slightest.
The Audi was a phenomenal car, just wasn't for me.
My ST running stage 2 software definitely feels much better...
Finally got it booked in to have a new headlight and wing fitted.
Was a little worried after starting the car up and it seemed that all my electrics had reset?
The climate control was down at 19, fan was full tilt and the auto setting was off....
Could this perhaps have been due to water...
I do think myself that I was very lucky also!
If I had been looking to my radio or even being slightly less alert then it would have been up and over the bonnet.
The deer took a nasty knock, picked itself up and ran off into a field.
I did have a nosey around with a torch but couldn't see it...
Hello,
So two days ago I was unlucky enough to come head to head with a deer.
I did managed to avoid a full on collision and instead the beast bounced off the front right of my car, smashing my headlight and denting the wing.
Now the headlight itself was working after the impact, it's smashed...
I've only 3 years no claims, will be losing 2 of those if I go down the insurance route.
Also £850 excess!
Very well may be cheaper to just go and pay for the repair myself, so going to get some quotes at local bodyshops.
Could have been much worse indeed!
I had a split second of time where I could slam on the anchors, which caused it to hit the front right of the car instead of coming straight up over the bonnet!
Darn thing jumped a wall and pretty much landed on my car!
No chance I was dodging that thing.
I'm pretty guilty for parking far away from people too!
Doesn't always help though...
The parking at my doctors is an absolute nightmare, I parked up assuming I was safe, however when I was returning to my car I actually watched a woman bump into the back of my car (gently but there really is...
I myself have an s-tronic S3 and it's currently got 4100 miles on the clock, it sounds absolutely brilliant when under a little load.
I've a friend with a manual Golf R and another has a manual S3, both do seem quieter by comparison, especially the Golf.
I'm really not sure why this is though...
I've been reading a lot about this little mod and it's really appealing to me.
How easy is it to do?
I'm not very clued on at all when it comes to this stuff.
