Thanks. Ive just had a look. The boot opens fine on the key fob and the finger sensor but it wont close on the other switch. I can see there is a switch just out of finger reach for that close button. I guess i could take the panel off and replace. Any ideas what the power is to that swich. I...

Metal. Ive since found that this is one of the hinge pins on the glove box. Glove box sounds so outdated now.

Yes mine had this issue. Audi warranty took it and they had to take the fuel tank out to replace the sensor.

Woo hoo ive just had my car back from a quantum tune up. Noticeably quicker with more torque. Fuel consumption and top end speed improvement tests will have to wait. I just wantes to shout about it.
