Looking at getting a OBD2 unit to check faults but also fiddle with some customisation, not really keen on paying £27 a year for the Carista subscription. What can people roccommend? TIA

I have a 1.8tfsi A3 and I get a screeching noise when I set off from standstill quite regularly. Someone I spoke to suggested it may be a sticky brake calliper. Anyone found a fix yet?
